Hi everyone, just wanted to double check on this.
If I DCA every week (lets say RM 100 a week), would that cost more in terms of fees compared to a lump sum investment per month?

Thanks!

Hey guys, does direct debit mean SA will receive and process the funds faster than using JomPay / IBG or is it just another function to schedule payments?

Hey all, I was just wondering what happens if the Value-at-Risk (VaR) is breached, will SA auto sell or?

For example, risk index is at 20% and portfolio is down 21%, what happens then? hmm.gif

QUOTE(collingwood @ Aug 29 2019, 01:35 PM)
Why does SA recommend us to DCA when lump sum wins 2 out of 3 times?

Even vanguard recommends lump sum
https://personal.vanguard.com/pdf/s315.pdf

I know no one can time the market, but would not you be better off to spread your lump sum into a few deposits when the market is in serious down turn so u have more buying power? DCA is probably only good for being disciplined with your money, but why do that when you can maximise your earning a little bit more?

I read this article before too. I strongly believe in a bull market Lump Sum > DCA but in a bearish market DCA > Lump Sum.
So i guess SA and Vanguard are both right icon_rolleyes.gif

Since the implementation of 0.3% fee for single ETFs (flexible portfolio), does anyone know if if this is cheaper than purchasing them from Rakuten?

Currently using Rakuten to purchase individual US ETFs but UI/UX is not as good as SA and many don't take into consideration that there is a buy/sell spread when converting MYR to USD on top of the usual buying and selling fees

Thank you!
