Hi guys. I wonder which to prioritize my investment. Monthly I save around Rm1600 and I divide to Asb rm1k and balance StashAway rm600.
My Asb still have long way to capped rm200k (I don’t make asb loan now around 18k) but I think that StashAway can make a better investment in the long run. Should I focus capped my asb first (100%)or change the %.

My current portfolio is 16% btw.

Your opinions are really appreciated.

Just sharing my thought here..

I track all the price stock when i bought it and divide by total unit stock i got.
so it show how much the average cost of stock i bought (stock cost base).
so i try to invest the stock during drop to bought more stock and lower my stock cost base.

Fortunate or unfortunately stashaway have large portion of GLD etf to hedge volatility of market. I start invest from Feb 2020 where stock market are rising but gold are still cheap. So gold etf carried my portfolio through the Mar bear run.

During this time I think more people to invest stashaway but the GLD etf already at peak so when GLD etf start to stabilized (droping) your portfolio are affected. Sadly GLD etf have tedency not to drop so much and have longer time to take appreciate.

Plus the forex exchange, USD weaken? MYR getting stronger magnified the drop to people who like to check in MYR.

My suggestion is track your portfolio in USD.
If MYR change rate higher it means you can buy more stock but
check the GLD etf price if you are in for a short time investment (for the forummer who looks their portfolio everyday lol) even if you open the 3 portfolio, GLD etf price will have big chunk of your investment so kinda useless for me cost you are not invest to other etf.

sharing knowledge for us election market cycle

I just opened 6.5% portfolio for short term investment (7 month) and withdraw it. Anyone can share your 6.5% result?

Is it better to put into my 16% only portfolio than take it out when the time I need it or just put it in StashAway simple. Initial investment is around Rm4k.

why suddenly my porfolio sold my KWEB etf?? is this auto rebalance program algorithm by taking out 50% of profit here and buy other cheaper asset?

in progress selling 49.67 usd kweb etf from 108.60 usd profit? from that stock. need to check what etf next will buy..

If it buy same KWEB etf at higher price really facepalm.. need t wait and see.
If it buy GLD etf or Bond etf, I also face palm because lesser profit there and only waiting for the small dividend....

My original plan is to use stashaway portfolio, or better use ASB due to lower return ?

KWEB really going down hill.. last time i angry they automated sold few of my KWEB etf around usd 90. now glad a bit.

More defensive investment. No more growth etf focus and focus on etf that can withstand upcoming US inflation like VNQ, XLE, XLP.

More bond buying like EMB, AGG also show defensive investment towards inflation

My portfolio not yet been sold and i havent receive the mail. Maybe my investment is small compare with you guys.

I kinda sad because I think IJR can carry over through inflation because US small cap have possibility to be agile adapting inflation. Maybe need to change SRI to 36% to maintain IJR etf.

Last check before reoptimization start.

SRI 16% start Feb 2020, USD TWR 11.81%, MWR 14.13% normal return calculation 6.3%

SRI 26% start Dec 2020, USD TWR 3.67%, MWR 1.27% normal return calculation 0.5%

I wonder how big the stashaway reoptimization wave will effect the etf price. Small dent or big news at US stock market hahaha.
