What's the maximum and minimum time for SA to receive your deposit and have the amount of money shown in your portfolio? 5 business days?
I performed an instant transfer on last wednesday, they received on Thursday but it is not in my portfolio yet.

Anyone know how the management fee works? I have 5 portfolios with SAMY, do they charge 0.8% for each portfolio ?
Portfolio 1 is 150k =0.6%
portfolio 2,3,4, and 5 = rm3k each
A : total 162k x 0.6%
B: (150k x 0.6% )+ (3k*0.8) + (3k*0.8) + (3k*0.8)+(3k*0.8)

Which is correct?

How do you justify paying the management fee? Say you buy exactly the same as SA 36% risk index portfolio, with RM50000, your fee will be RM4000 per annum.
Using IBKR to buy the mix of XLE,VGK,IJR,XLC,XLV,XLK,XLY and IVV with the same ratio as SAMY does, RM50000 (or USD12000), your annual fee would only be USD 226.49 per annum, or about RM955.
Only upside of SA is that they dont charge you for sales other than conversion fee of 0.1%. That and they don't have minimum + auto reoptimizing without more fee. But still that does not help when the fee is about 4x higher...

No wonder!

I was so fixated on the number I forgot to calculate the annual fee for SAMY again...

Why does SA recommend us to DCA when lump sum wins 2 out of 3 times?

Even vanguard recommends lump sum
https://personal.vanguard.com/pdf/s315.pdf

I know no one can time the market, but would not you be better off to spread your lump sum into a few deposits when the market is in serious down turn so u have more buying power? DCA is probably only good for being disciplined with your money, but why do that when you can maximise your earning a little bit more?

The Cash (USD) has a target alloc of 0%, they charge from SGD. But yea apart from that, you get no benefit from using StashAway SG, save your effort.

I just use it to hedge against MYR currency purchasing power haha

My redemption from SA Simple from 10th till now still processing...I know they'd be slow, but this can be too slow for comfort sometimes. I know I can do it faster through different route, but this is the way I'm sticking to, so just sayin', I wished they won't take more than a week for this route sleep.gif
*
Mine was processed today a few minutes ago. also made the redemption on 10/5

maybe bc of raya holiday

Good Morning Everyone,

Just a quick question...

Is there a way to transfer funds from one StashAway account to another? Not transferring between portfolios but transferring funds from person's A account into person's B account.

I've searched through but there doesn't seem to be a way of doing it. Thought I'd ask here for confirmation and to see if I missed something.
*
Dont think you can do that.. I asked them the same question in 2020 for transferring portfolio from my own SAMY to SASG, they said cannot.

Btw DRJASON promo code works even for non new customer. So... you guys can use it. Haha. But i think runs concurrently with other promo codes.

Not promoting but just adding on to the youtube video shared.

The promo code is for 3 months
*
When will this code expired?
Planning to wait till my current promo code to end in august then use your DRJASON code..

News on didi delisting

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/202...or-foreign-ipos

I remember few months ago on a webinar Freddie said although probable, it's not possible for CHINA to ban VIE, his reasoning being China will lose its growth and its economy will also take a hit.

I think China is still investable, though you would never know what people would do for political power and to gain control. the prices are discounted to reflect the risk.

Still we wont know how far will this crackdown will go..
