I just created stashaway account but I cannot pick the high risk portfolio (risk level 36) because the system has deemed your profile unsuitable.
I already email them to change it to high risk, will they change it?

If you use Malaysia account, likely yes.

If Singapore, you need to pass SGX quiz 18/20.

How to check my account is malaysian or singaporean? Sorry for noob question.

They will most likely ask you to go through their academy module on personal financing and investment basics on SAMY app. Have to watch the videos before they allow change on Malaysia app.

Maybe I just watch it right now. Thanks

Malaysian will use MYR as base currency. Simple will invest into Eastspring Investment Islamic Income Fund.

OK good. Mine is a malaysian account. Hopefully they can change it to high risk portfolio without any problem.

You can stomach -23% drop in a quarter hor? I went through that in 2018.

As long as they can change it to high risk portfolio, I have no problem.

Why put FD when you can invest in MMF with better liquidity and compound interest than FD  rclxms.gif
It is also starts with A but not ARK but your guess is close

Similar to ARK but easier to track the performance  icon_idea.gif

Just another newbie experience, hope it helps.

I just started my Stashaway account today, and high risk portfolio was locked away from me too.

First I Whatsapp'ed them asking for further input, they told me to wait for a business day for replies due to high load on customer support.

Being impatient, I went to read the FAQ and found the SQX quiz, I spend about 90 minutes and luckily scored 100%, I screenshot it and send to Stashaway Whatsapp. The questions are relatively straight forward and the numbers are simplified in the question examples, and you can freely go back to read notes before clicking next and try to answer the question again.

Within 10 minutes they replied me saying congratulation and will enable high risk access in 2-3 business day.

Feel pretty smooth, the whole process is maybe half a morning or less.

I just whatsapp them and they told me to watch the videos. I told them I already did that. After that, I have to wait 2-3 business days. I guess that is next week. smile.gif

Haha, I feel a bit wasted my time then, I don't deny that the quiz is amazingly informative, but 80% of it is things I won't touch, and is the reason why I am trying stashaway (futures, calls, daily leverage certificates)...

But it is good you took the test anyway. You know what is your knowledge level regarding the investment and the risk that comes with it. 👍🏽

I want to setup recurring monthly deposit. Which one is better?
Direct debit or manual deposit?

You just have to get bank to setup recurring Jompay payments.
*
So you just set the date of recurring deposit using Jompay right?
Let’s say every 1st of month.
Set it and every 1st of month, the set amount will be deducted from the bank account.
Correct?

Hi, I want to do a double confirm before I proceed.
If I want to do a recurring manual deposit via jompay, did I do the correct way?
Does this setting will deduct a RM100 every month for 3 years? This is maybank website fyi.
Is that all?
Do I need to set anything in the app?

Yes, you need to set up in app, go to "More" > "Transfer" > "Put Money In" > Select the Manual Deposit tab > Click "Set up monthly deposit"

Pic below for reference:

From there, allocate the money into your portfolios, but MOST IMPORTANT is make sure your Total monthly deposit is the same as your Jompay instructions:

after that you click Continue to go through authorisation steps, then shud be ok

Hi all, I just started with SA. After the assessment, it shows me 6.5% risk and when I check here, we have so many people with 36% risk assessment. When I check to change the risk, for some reason it only allowing up to 22%. What is the best way to do this? I'm looking for a long term investment. So is it better to stick with 6.5% as the automated risk says and create a new portfolio for 22%? Any advise? Not sure how to get 36% portfolio thou.
*
If you really want to get 36% portfolio just whatsapp them. They will ask you to watch the videos, so you know the risk you’re getting into. When you confirm you still want the 36%, just give them time to remove the restriction. After that, you can proceed to 36% portfolio.
