u dont need it to sit for a year. within few days can see interest on it. do realize interest deposit into it after few days.
when want, i just transfer from simple to my portfolio. dont bother about how long it take. most important is
1. got interest on simple
2. can transfer in and out when require.

start use simple, then u will know how good it is

Lots of news spreading about stashaway MD it's simple product. What do you guys think about CF Lieu youtube video about it? He doesn't seem to have confidence in stashaway and said that the simple product is not license my SC? Is that true?

I think everyone reading this long post need to differentiate between opinions and facts.

For example, the many Stashaway reviews by bloggers and youtubers out there are nothing but some rehashed opinions which ultimately persuade you to sign up to SA using their affiliate links (the 'I help u, u help me' approach).

Do a Google search you'll notice this EVERYWHERE.

The only unbiased SA reviews so far (zero affiliate links whatsover) is the one highlighted in GREEN (see below) when you Google - 'stashaway malaysia review' ...

that will also save your time browsing 380+ pages on this thread...becoz it'd have answered most of the questions you asked here anyway

....apart from containing in-depth info most bloggers /youtubers failed to reveal in the first place

hope that helps.

That site u showing is the same guy from the video I posted loh. He doesn't need to post referral links cause he doesn't have account with SA, and also he's running his own business so why he need SA referral fees?

No such thing as free lunch.

Why not 7 figures because 0.2% management fee a year?

If only I have this much

QUOTE(DragonReine @ Apr 15 2021, 10:58 AM)
Relative lor, if you believe in SA, then put as much as you want into SA. If you don't trust robo, then don't put too much % of your investment money into SA

Disclosure: My investment in SA is the low end of five figures, but it's less than 30% of my total investments smile.gif I'm still in wait and see mode for SA

QUOTE(littlegamer @ Apr 15 2021, 11:04 AM)
Me. Tbh I deposit over the last year. The fluctuations isn't that bad. If suddenly crash like 30%, with me having no bullets left, I will be shit sacred none the less.

But that's part of the game plan. Im young without commitment, I can fully save back 100k in about 2.5 to 3 years in case I lose it all(which is highly unlikely)

I also have some in akrunow, I like their portfolio 10 with 55% voo and 35% msci eafe. The returns is better at akrunow, but their system got screwed up for the past 2 week and I hate their slow response time with bad transparency.

SA, gld and kweb hit new low thus my reduce return. Esp gld it had dropper consistently since last year.
*
Because I'm planning to allocate 70% of my funds into SA. And the other 30% into ASN. I'm not sure if allocate a huge sum into SA is a good idea. I don't know why.. sweat.gif

I tested SA for 2 years already. Started in April 2019, so far I'm happy with the returns but I only put small amount la. ASN returners are super low now so looking at other alternative. I'm not good at stock so it's out, picking UT also not my forte.

Putting from 4 figures to 6 figures so definitely some concern. sweat.gif

Tencent got news again. Maybe StashAway sees something we don't, hence they put in China tech.

My target weightage for KWEB is 20%. Maybe 17% is your current weightage? When was the last time you deposit into 36% portfolio?

Target is 20% too. Last time was in April IIRC.

Ya. He keep spamming in different finance thread, with not accurate info.

I posted regarding fmsone usd fx rate is not bad. He replied fx rate in fsmone have 2% lost.
I checked and compare, there is only 0.5%, ask him where he got his 2%. He did not reply anymore.

Finally my SRI36% positive 1.48% TWR after 9 mth.
SRI18% positive 5.93% TWR.
Hope no big dip anymore.
*
Good riddance man. He is annoying to everyone. Also like u said, act pro only but when proven wrong or if u ask him back, he will keep quite. Hope the ban is permanent.

Btw, anyone know how does StashAway simple calculate the profit? After I deposit say rm500 (just an example), it shows net deposit rm450, total returns rm50. (figure it's just an example but why simple does this?

No. Immediately after I deposit rm500, it will show net deposit rm450, total returns rm50. My total amount is still rm500, just wondering why do they show like this

Hi guys, if I going to invest to stashaway now lump sum or split it into monthly will be better? For long term invest at least 5 years
*
U can do DCA so that u won't get emotional when investing and avoiding buying at all time high. However, DCA also means u might lose of opportunities as ur money will be sitting around doing nothing. Market moves up in the long term, u can pick whichever one that suits u best.

Alternatively, u can put lum sum, then uninstall the app and forgot about it. biggrin.gif if u don't check, u won't get emotional

We now have easy access to buy ETF on our own. Those who want to buy S&p 500 can just sign up MIDF and buy. But bare in mind, the fees ain't cheap if u planning to DCA, and u must buy 1 share minimum. Suggest u can start to invest with around rm3k.

A lot of opportunities out there besides SA, u don't have to stuck with it.

VOO: 427.24 USD +41.41 (10.73%)past 6 months
KWEB: 44.92 USD -28.31 (-38.66%)past 6 months

Why use such an inefficient broker?

IBKR, moomoo, TDAmeritrade, Tiger all can do this and you can trade at much cheaper fees.

Is MIDF even real time?

A cheaper copycat of SPY is VTI. It has even less management fees.

With IBKR you can even buy fraction of a VTI.
*
Not the best but it's under SC, of course if one doesn't mind then can go for others.

Not real time but unless one is doing day trading I doubt one needs it. And we are on the topic of ETF, do you need real time to buy ETF? Even when buying ETF on SA is not real time

Yes, midf can't buy fraction share, which is a cons
