Ill update here once i know precisely the cost of the warranty, once i renew it. It can be extended anytime within the period of 1 year of the current warranty or at least what it says from the Smart Care coverage T&C's

it is either one UI has better optimization or it is becuase of snapdragon chipset. s10e and plus totally crushed iphone xs max and xr in battery test. too bad s8, s9 and note 9 only will get one UI 1.0 instead of the new 1.1

The samsung devices that used in the video I believe is snapdragon version.

Yeah, only the screen protection requires commitment within the first month of purchase.

I plan to get the extended warranty too.....

Still getting bad standby time on my S10+ (~8% drain) every night. Tried changing many settings but to no avail. Wondering those who can get 2-3% drain overnight is there any tips on how to achieve that?

turn on flight mode

or at least turn off all data related services, and only leave your 2G line on for emergency calls if you wish

Tried flight mode before. Doesnt work. Under battery usage Android OS has consistently high battery usage, as high as Device Idle. Not sure what is causing this

But I actually see quite a number of us getting 8-10% battery drain overnight as well. Some with 5-6%, which i think is still acceptable. So it seems like some default settings may be causing this?

From my experience, Android OS shouldn't be that high in the list, must be something wrong..

Try clear cache partition in recovery mode? Turn off ur phone then press and hold volume up, bixby and power button at the same time until ur device is turned on, and u will be in recovery mode. Volumn up and down for navigation, power button for selection.

After some tweaking i managed to bring my drain down to 4% from 8%

Restrict Android System background services
Put to sleep apps that you dont use
Disable notifications which you dont need.
Mobile Data set to 2G (Setup the routines so that its automated for you)
Wifi On ( you can off it during the day by setting up routines too)

Unplugged mine at 1AM last night after some use its at 73% currently, location services on and just off topic abit..

Imho, SOT is directly associated with device Idle time, the lower idle time longer SOT, shorter SOT = longer idle time
