thanks but
my question was if I deposit on say 15 JAN 2025 VS 15 DEC 2025 and amount of 100K

would it make a difference the dividends I would get in 2026?

should be the same right?...

was thinking what would be a better way is that :-

if you have 1.1mil+ in EPF...

you can take out 100K from EPF beginning of the year after dividend payout..

then take this 100K and put in FD for 6mnths
then once 6 mnths expire put to 3mnths FD...

then before year end... just move back 100K back into EPF...

in this case wouldnt you benefit from FD interest for 9mnths + then the EPF dividends from 100K?.

Nice thought (u not the first n not the last) but it is not how epf counting dividend.

EPF attractive dividend. Thinking of topping up.

Any particular date in the month to bank in for the dividend to be counted for that month ?

That's for 2024, 2025 still an unknown

How they count the dividends by date of month bank in ? Or there is cut off date for dividend to be counted for the month ?
*
What i know from browsing this thread is - 1 day interest on the month u deposit, then the remaining will be full month interest.

But i dunno how the withdrawal scenario. Withdraw end of month will the amount not entitled for interest for that entire month or how.

anyone hold their horses due to Retirement Income Adequacy (RIA) Framework and stop contributing because u know u wont be able to hit the numbers?

Regarding withdrawals, members with savings exceeding RM1 million currently have the flexibility to withdraw and manage the excess savings. This threshold will align with the Enhanced Savings benchmark and will increase as follows:

RM1.1 million by January 1, 2026
RM1.2 million by January 1, 2027
RM1.3 million by January 1, 2028

after 2028 maybe increase again to like 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 - if continue like that nobody would really want to self contribute as it is a chasing game

If as off 2025 i have 1 million now then 2026 in order be be eligible to withdraw u again need top up 100k
so my advice is pls dont go all in as 1 year self contribute only 100k if u are around 800k better forget it
if you are at 1M maybe still possible

This is something bugging my mind as well. But what can we do about it? laugh.gif

That is why I want to get some opinion and keep pushing it or really tarik kuda and stop saja

If u oredi reach 1mil, 100k additional will be far more easy as div will be 5% (expected), plus PCB deduction u eventually need less than 50k topup to over the 100k.

Unless u found other investments that low risk as epf and close to same return, do let me know also laugh.gif

i am of the opinion that EPF should raise the limit of contribution to 100 years old... why artifically set the max age for contribution to 75. Silly right when based on EPF's own argument, people are living longer etc and worried not enough to last till death rite?

Allow the members the choice... although at 75, one most probably should be spending one's money rather than hoarding more.

Don't need to guess...

EPF boss already mentioned last year during the reorganizing of EPF accounts... With introducing of account 3... Dividend would be lower for highly liquidity instruments.....

When it would be is anyone guess... But with feature available in i-akaun kwsp meant they is moving towards that for 2025 dividends...
*
They better announce this earlier than next year only tell us div for 2025 acct 3 reduced...

I understand fully. I feel that the general sentiment is people feel that they can out perform EPF if they manage their own wealth.
After some costly attempt, I for sure say I will do much worse than EPF.
EPF is there so save us from our emotional investing tendencies but ironically it is their emotions that cause them to distrust EPF.

Share market need people to invest, loss some money so others can get the part of it.
