anyway. those amp like denon and the speaker alphine speaker you discuss is about AV amp and car audio, it doesn't actually categorizes in hifi speaker / amp. anyway. it's good to discuss. however i found that people tend to protect certain things they own. AEGO M is not best. so do S2000. i am not talking S2000 not worth. just my personally taste, i don't like it.
however, what ever float your boat, it's your bank account, you shall be happy with your choice.
and you might bang coolerthings for what he have (aego M) and think that he is skeptic. however the truth is he owned a not bad entry level of HIFI speaker (from germany)  way before he ever bought AEGO M. and he even owned marantz and cambridge audio amp. =) hope that justify somethings.
and if i am not remember wrong, he also hard bang AEGO M when he first bought it, it's way below his expectation anyway. lol..

is an experiment, is not bout owning, is not bout the price worth it o not
but is a bonus to ppl out there tat own S2k if they know their S2k got lot of potential after the experiment

at least when they get enuff with the current sound, and wanna get something better or upgrade more, they no need to get another set of speakers, but just get a nicer amp to pair with it, then voila XD

How can u so sure I never heard b4. I went to the showroom twice just to hear the sound of S2000 when it arrived at the showroom. I'm also a user of Edifier products and I'm just expecting more from Edifier high-end product. True, the S2000 does amazed me, but the more that I find out, it is the components that limit the true performance of the speaker. I can understand this may due to the manufacturing cost or whatever, however since it is targeting the high-end market, a little (just a little) better component won't cost an arm or a leg.

but it also doesnt mean end user like us can't complain right?
