Typical nationalist and protectionist agenda hence you will see why Malaysia will be the backwater of ASEAN as more capital markets are opening up in Phillipines, Vietnam and Cambodia

Who cares about SC as they are only a useless 4th tier regulator  rclxms.gif

haha dont mention that later our regulators triggered dont allow us invest oversea icon_question.gif

Hi all, I'm new to IBKR and Foreign trading. I was trying to get familiar with the interface. When I try to preview the trade, I saw Commission was showing NA. is that mean there will be no commission incurred for this trade? Thanks in advance.

nope you still need to pay for the trade considering there is no free trade in IBKR.
I did try to play around but not sure some counter the fee are showing out but some are not.

maybe need check with IBKR.
thou i hardly use this preview function because the fee will be just few dollar.

The purpose of cimb SG is two purpose.
1) to received your converted sgd and to deposit it into IBKR via FAST (local transfer)
MY bank account -> fintech - SGD into Cimb SG -> IBKR (SGD) -> USD
2) to send back MYR at the cheapest rate.
*
3) and also last time i see CIMB is the only SG banks which doesn't charge inward remittance fee for withdraw from IBKR.
Other banks charge inward remittance fee (last time i used Maybank SG)

hi all, would like to update the first post on 'Cheapest Route as at 19 May 2021'

Anyone has better alternative so that I can update it for the benefit of our readers? thank you
*
1) wise or alternative any fintech which is cheapest, look at the best amount u can get after transfer
2) nowadays TradeStation is no longer in the story, IBKR no longer with activity fee, better choice with a cheaper fee
