Noob here. In IBKR mobile app, how can I easily track the performance of the stock based on my purchase price as a +-% increase/decrease?

Try this
Porfolio->Manage Columns->Add Columns->Position->Unrealized P&L %

Bro, etf sini oversea punya.
Cuba ambil 2 hari baca dulu Dr mula.

Ada cara senang n susah,
Cara senang, mahal sikit,
Cara susah, murah sikit.

Lepas ini baru tanya lagi.

Jgn cakap index fund lagi,
U masuk restoran KFC cakap mahu beli McD deluxe 😂😂😂

All the best, baca dulu.
Jika sesuai, baru on.
X sesuai x apa, ilmu tambahan

For step 4, is it transfer to TradeStation Global or Interactive Broker? Or is it the same?

Can the same be done using USD to invest in VUSD instead of EUR or GBP for SRX8/CSP1?

Older posts in this thread recommend either EUR for SRX8 or GBP for CSP1 because it's not possible to transfer USD from Instarem to Trade Station Global? is this still the case? because the Trade Station Global page on opening an account states the requirement of minimum USD 1k (https://www.tradestation-international.com/global/open-an-account/)

user posted image

and Instarem's landing page has selection to convert from MYR to USD.

Is this method feasible? or am I missing something.

Probably being naive, but I'm more inclined to invest in VUSD because it's more liquid and USD is easier to move around.

---

Another thing, this thread's recommendation to achieve the lowest fees for small time retail investors to DCA is to accumulate ~RM8k, then convert to GBP and wire transfer to Trade Station Global via Instarem, then purchase CSP1.

Or conver to EUR, then purchase SRX8.

Do these still hold true in currently?

From reading this thread, I don't see anyone mentioning otherwise. On the other hand, on the IBKR thread it seems that someone managed to do so but with significant delay compared to EUR/GBP (1-2 days vs a few hours). However, there were no replies nor further discussion around it, so not much new information available. Perhaps you can reply to the poster and see his response.

The fund accumulation recommendation is just to minimize the impact of the comission fee. If you are sensitive to fees, then you should do that. Otherwise, the commission fee will reflect a larger percentage of your transaction, depending on how much smaller your transaction value is.

Based on Tradestation Global website, the commission amount is still the same as quoted on the first page. You can see here

However, in my recent transaction, I noticed that my commission was only around 0.06-0.07%, instead of the 0.12%/GBP1.5 shown on TSG website. I read on the IBKR thread that this might be because my IBKR account has not been fully migrated to TSG yet. So perhaps the commission fee may be updated in my statement later. Maybe someone with more insight and experience with IBKR can shed some light on this.

OK now I am interested in this. But then again 15% saving on 2% dividend yield, how much capital do we need invested for this to have significant advantage over StashAway?

If you have investment of RM10,000, over 10 years you rugi about RM312 to withholding tax oh. Enough to treat yourself at expensive restaurant.

According to TS, you save 0.3% if you invest in Ireland domiciled ETFs. Compared with saving 0.04% fee if you invest in Vanguard ETF.

Good info... If it's true then SA has an advantage here...

Avg sp500 dividend yield is around 2% p.a.

If eat 30% then 0.6% yield burn
If eat 15%  then 0.3% yield burn

If no burn, wah 0.6% extra return???

Hi all, I recently tried twice to transfer Euro to IB through Instarem, but got rejected with the reason from IB that instant payments are not allowed.
Did anyone experience this? What are my other options to transfer money to my IB account without any Singapore bank account?

Sorry if I missed something, been digging through the thread for answers but can't find it.

Is the current recommended ticker to hoot CSP1 or SRX8?

I only understand that:
1. They are the same ETF, just underlying currency different (CSP1:GBP, SRX8:EUR)
2. Alex seems to have briefly mentioned SRX8 don't have stamp fees that CSP1 have.

What are the other difference? Do i get minor savings hooting one over another?

ARK meaning ARKK? Its only available on NYSE in USD right? How does it compare to S&P 500? Personal thoughts and anecdotes is fine too! Never researched deeply into it.

But I still plan to hold some S&P 500, so if anyone can elaborate more on choosing between SXR8 and CSP1 still I'll appreciate it biggrin.gif

There are 5 ark funds. Have our pick which one you like. If I am not wrong 2 of the ark funds have beaten the s&p500 for last 5 years (could be more)

Why bother with Etf giving 5-7%p.a when you can have one giving 15-100%p.a?

If I am etf investor I will just buy ark. Some more with recent sell down, even better for me to buy ark. Ark does what no etf does. Buy big when market is red.

S&P500 contains lousy of old comapnies. Eg. intel, Boeing, IBM, General motors, General electric, Wells Fargo
They are big but lousy companies. I wouldn't even put my money into them. Big does not mean good.

Haha, I'd love to buy this massive dip, but I don't meet the minimum requirements to start TSG account yet, will just have to revisit down the line.

Thanks for letting me know about this though!

Yes do slowly. Don't force. Personal finance is personal.

I recommend max 50% equity exposure oversea.

Can use stashaway to pile up first. No choice let them eat fee first.
