Hi, I am wondering what is the salary range for an Account Key Manager? In the context of e-commerce websites such as Lazada/Shopee and other multinational corporations.
If a fresh graduate is negotiating his/her salary for such a position, what is the expected range?
And what about those with 3-5 years of experience for the same position?

Fresh grad, 2.8-3k? Doesn't run far no matter what industry you are in. MNCs, Key Account Managers salary would vary, depending on if you are working in banks, manufacturing, or consulting even.

KAM usually don't get high basic salary. More will be on incentive so you will be more motivated to reach your annual target.
You will be lucky to be KAM for products that really sells and already in the market for some time. And also, don't get trapped in unrealistic target numbers.

Otherwise, there are many competitors besides you. Most probably you are not their best candidate. Good luck.

QUOTE(SolId SnaKe @ Mar 15 2019, 11:47 AM) Mine is not bank.. itโs at shopee actuslly ๐ Few weeks ago I did a phone interview with Shoppee as well. They promised to put me in touch with the hiring manager, situation looked upbeat, but end up they never got back to me after a few weeks! I thought that was super unprofessional lor. Asked me when I would be free for face to face interview, but then never call back to arrange it. What a joke. End up I hunted down their HR on linkedin and complain to her about her colleague. Next day itself I got an email from the HR staff who was on the phone with me in the first place. He apologized saying due to too many candidates bla bla they could not manage to update everyone on the status etc...and actually they already found a better suited person. =_= I thought I was a very good fit, really, but they probably found someone who was cheaper and willing to settle for less, so they changed their minds halfway.

To be fair, T.H. did seem sincere in apologizing. But looks like they have poor HR practices eh? Not sure whether can trust this same group of HR people to take care of your benefits and rights or not.

QUOTE(kvatt @ May 9 2019, 11:15 PM) Hello to all. How do you find a job in Kuala Lampur? I'm just tired of sending out my resumes. I have good experience and recommendations as well. Hi, there's already plenty of pinned materials in the Jobs and Careers main page, I am sure you can find plenty of advice there. However if you still need personalized advice, please open a new thread and give us details. Don't hijack thread randomly like this. How do you expect people to help you if you don't give us context? (e.g. What's your situation? Fresh grad or experienced? What industry?)

Don't get conned with the fancy title: KAM. In a way, it's just a sales rep taking care of a set of key accounts. Usually the basic is low, but incentive and comm will be paid. For fresh grad, no related working exp, with degree, i think the pay range is about 1.8-2.5k (depend on geo-location). For E-Comm usually this is how it works, the KAM is responsible to source the product(s) from supplier(s), work on getting the lowest price, post the product(s) online and the the sales is defining on your comm payout. If not mistaken, it's by percentage overriding.
