in term of reliability.
manual > conventional auto > cvt (not jatco made) > dct (wet clutch) > cvt (jatco made) = dct (dry clutch)

i guess it not going to change anytime soon.

jatco made got so unreliable meh?

non jatco cvt majority should be aisin from toyota right?

That would mean DCT not suitable for city driving where traffic jam and slow driving is common condition?  hmm.gif
*
i think low speed high load would deteriorate the clutchpack much faster (correct me if i'm wrong), in this scenario TCU might engage or slip the clutch often....

DCT driving is entirely differently to driving torque converter automatic, lifting foot off brake pedal to let the car creep would affect the clutch in the gearbox, i think the consensus is that foot is either on brake pedal or gas pedal, so it would not confuse the computer

Yes not suitable, although there are tricks to reduce the wear under such conditions, but most common folks won't be bothered and ends up abusing it by driving it like a normal AT, causing premature wear and damage.

+1 to answer below.

From Pauline Tan

'"Honda claims to have rectified the issue through an extensive two-year testing programme which was conducted in Malaysia. The study led to the strengthening of several components within the dry dual-clutch transmission, giving Honda a good enough reason to finally give the Jazz Hybrid and City Hybrid the green light for Malaysia."

Their so called tests is meaningless, because in that 2 years they only tested it for 7k km.

But hopefully Honda hybrid owners would be lucky enough not to experience any problems.

I’ve been using honda city hybrid for a year already. So far so good.

Here’s hoping it can last for 8 years or more.

I dont ricer at roads or creep during traffic jem.
I know how DCT behaves hence i drove accordingly

Cruising at typical 90-100km/h while achieving that average FC of 24-25km/l everyday.
