So I had a conversation with other people about where guys would bring dates to. The most cliche response were: go to movies, follow up with a dinner. (because everyone watches movies so it's a no brainer?)

You know what?

Bringing your date to the movies is the worst place you can bring.

You are wasting 2 hours of your date having 0 interactions. You cannot be touchy touchy to the girl because she's not your girlfriend (at least not yet). Any attempts would be deemed as hamsap. After the movie you think you have 1 topic to start the conversation? Well, what if the movie suck? Or even if the movie is good, you learn nothing about her, and she learns nothing about you too. And... You don't stand out from the 99 guys that are courting her too.

*Thanks to other forummers. Updated with suggestions of alternative venues* (please note the activities are based on individuals. So please do your research before the date itself to avoid dissapointment)

1. Hipster cafe
2. Karaoke
3. Park/lake
4. Events or popout bazaars
5. Window shopping
6. Ice skating
7. Hiking
8. Airport or other sight seeing places
9. Cycling/badminton/basketball
10. Arcade
11. Places with good scenery
12. Boating
13. Learn cooking in bakery schools
14. Bowling
15. Archery
16. Theme park (if you willing to splurge)
17. Farm / zoo
18. Concert (if you willing to splurge)
19. Sepang Circuit
20. Beach
21. Batu caves or other cultural venues
22. Pasar malam
23. Play guitar / piano (Lot 10)
24. Swimming (not first dates)
25. Dancing
26. Indoor wall climbing
27. camping (not first date)

Wah, a lot of places I could think of. But it pretty much depends on what the interest of your date. (but I'm sure you all ask when you get to know the person right?)

1. Events like countdown, food fair because it doesn't happen all year long. Can make memorable memories. Go facebook or ask around to know whether got events lately.
2. Places that has nice view to take photographs like park, selfie museum, cafes with nice deco. During Christmas, CNY, Raya, Deepavali time lagi best because a lot of mall deco. Take photos of each other. Can learn photography skills like angles from your date maybe. If your date very shy, just say: I will make you look good, no worries
3. Window shopping. Even supermarket also can for some people. If your date spot something nice and within your budget, can offer to buy for your date. Can learn what he/she like and dislike.
4. Learn cooking. Can learn new recipe and have fun.
5. Ice skating. Can hold hand hold waist without being label hamsap.
6. Hiking. Can hold hand to pull the girl at steep. Can see the girl without makeup.
7. Go Arcade play multiple player games like taiko drum or racing. Be sure to give your date to win so everyone happy.

These are few I could think of...

Damn....first date with my wife was dinner then cinema.
After tat most times dinner/movie Date/piap piap..

Lame or not, still got a wife.
Both have to talk and laugh your hearts out during dinner.
What if the Movie suck? Those are actually the most memorable ones, even 10 years later we are still talking about some of the lame movies we watched.

This i can second.

1st date at cinema -> her choice of movie(romantic genre of course) then supper.
2nd date at beach hanging out then dinner.
3rd date onward movie/dinner/outing/piap piap lol.

Sound lame? We got married 2 years later... cool2.gif
She is my 5th gf and last one too.

Edit: Don't think the above got any to do with generation as the marriage was last year.

Me and wife always go to movie during our dating days. The best part for me is the discussion on the movie when we have dinner after.

We ends up getting married, so it is obviously working? lol

It is not the movie or places problem, it start up with you. I dulu pun ada first blind date dekat movie, after that movie piap2. Ada lg 1 girl keluar belanja minum teh o ais je, tp dia belanja buah dada kemudian.

Seriously it's not about place you bring, it's about your personality that make her attract and wet.

Talk like a men, treat her like a woman, those small thing that will help you ok.

Maybe for those that have good charisma, venue doesn't matter. Just saying that movie dates has its downside. For me, there are so many things to do other than this type of cliche date.

Actually my bf likes to go to movies too. But he won me over through other events. Not because of movie date.

Well, it's not only me that has this opinion (I'm not much of a movie goer) . My bf told me her exes also have the same view as me (dislike movie dates). So I dunno.

P/s: wow, nowadays girls so open to piap piap? Less than 5 dates already piap? I sound like grandma now.

My gf/now wife also never stayed at my house until only around a year after due to her family's concern but then after i met with her parent those concern automatically goes away. Even so she only stayed for some weekend throughout until marriage.

My point is there are other ways to get to know her better i.e. going for vacation/outing together away from homes. Try that and see where it goes.

Don't get us wrong.
Dinner + movie is a mainstay for dating...but its not the only thing couples do.
We do also go to events, clubs, outdoorsy stuff, short road trips, group outings, food hunting, nowadays bubble tea hunting, cafe chats, long vacays, but all those is like once a while thing.
Majority is a Dinner + movie date.

I approve of all this but I like movie date cause I'm a movie-goer.
Before/ after that can have a meal together. Followed by dessert when there are nothing interesting nearby.
Plus its easy to plan. rclxm9.gif

3rd date already coitus...not bad.
Didn't happen that fast cos my third date with my wife was only 2 days after the first date.
Didn't wanna rush things previously as well cos dun wanna be deemed a wolf only out of coitus.
Also, coitus needs connection, not just pump and dump type, so i guess its worth waiting for that connection....but not too long though.

for once i had to go to google translate to get the meaning of coitus sweat.gif

why not just use the term "piap", its malaysia and this is LYN forum

third date happens 2 days after the first date, means you both dated for 3 sequential days, that is still not fast?

If you have nothing to talk about after a movie, it's your problem not the movie.

Regardless if the movie suits your taste buds or not, the amount of people and resources involved into making a movie, you cannot take that away.

And you have nothing to talk about?? Plot, Actors, Chemistry, CGI, Adaptation Accuracy, Cultural References, Camera works, and the list goes on.

Depends on the girl. Sing k I on. I like couple songs but my bf is banana so limit to english songs only. Hahaha... Sad sad.

I got friend that doesn't sing k. So before you decide, you can ask if she normally sing k or not.

I have two dates style with my Gf (soon to be fiancee)

Short date and long date

Short date consist of
-dinner/lunch
-jalan2 around KL
-hangout at starbuck

Long date consist of
- Movie as starter or closure of the day
- Dinner/Lunch
-Hangout at Putrajaya/KLIA
-jalan2 at taman

movie is a must for long date because is where we can spend time peaceful without those annoying shopper in the mall.

one good thing about watching movie is, after finish it we can talk about it
like the MC was stupid la, fight scene not enough, jump scare boring, Femala Character boing2.

thus, movie never a disappointment only the viewer are (people with kids under 6yrs old bring into cinema)

If you are charming enough, you can always use the movie to do it.

"Ooooh baby, you actually have the same eyes as <Arwen/Legolas>. I am certain your beauty will be as radiant and as fair forever, just like <Arwen/Legolas>! Jom, lets go horse riding, and then you can tell me all about your other interests"

Sorry, I just remembered what my first date movie was. I ate her baskin robbins ice cream and said YUCK, even though I love peanut butter. Dumb shit kid.

for once i had to go to google translate to get the meaning of coitus sweat.gif

why not just use the term "piap", its malaysia and this is LYN forum

third date happens 2 days after the first date, means you both dated for 3 sequential days, that is still not fast?
*
I learned the term from big bang theory.
But yeah in lyn, everyone just used piap so its unusual tongue.gif

QUOTE(fearless_kiki @ Feb 13 2019, 11:44 AM)
Yes,  sure. Many to talk about but none of them related to your date or yourself. Isn't that the purpose to date? Get to know the person?
*
But there is just so much you can talk about yourself. Sometimes can run out of topic too. blush.gif
By discussing about the movie, you can also gauge what type the person he/she is, what they like/ dislike.

Yup, true. Luckily she was.

But yeah, plenty of other significantly more interesting venues. But I was still in HS at that time lah, the only other more creative dating venue would have been next door Lagoon tongue.gif

We did do horse riding several times after that though!

Music, movies, travel, food... These topics won't go wrong. As soon as she say something that you also like, keep hammer on the topic. Talk about more deeper things like your unique experience during travel, or why you like that cafe so much... Don't put fullstop on the surface.

Compliment her outfit. Oh I like girls dress like this, so classy. And don't stop there. Ask what other fashion she likes. Ask questions when you are not sure of the terms. I think it's an interesting topic as guys and girls got different taste.

Talk about recent events. Like cny got lion dance, or recently got selfie museum, bazaar...

These are few I could think of...

before go on 1st date try to gauge on what kind of person she/he would be. so from there u can have some ideas and discussion on best place to meet and spend time.

my experience, 1st meeting date is dataran merdeka. from there we just talk and talk then move to eat eat.

if she/he into u before u met in person is better than to meet in person then not knowing bout ur opposite half then go awkward all the way.

everything is nearby also. for us that time we went NZ KLCC.

original plan is to meet up at dataran only, from there improvise.

works for both of us.

other couple (to-be-couple) might not.

bonus tips: make urself seen as reliable to ahmoi. they want to feel safe and secured

Some people value long drives and meaningful conversations.

While others prefer to eat cheap siham in even cheaper bars.

To each their own icon_idea.gif

KLIA has higher tendency of winning because can eat and sipping coffee while Putrajaya mainly Palace of Justice, close by is Mcdonald only rclxub.gif

Or maybe I can try going earlier to the airport during his flight so he won't need to purposely go to the airport.

If timing is right I can certainly try. But I remember the last two time were weekdays sad.gif maybe next trip

I believe Putrajaya has some boats. I do know they have a pier with cruise tours. But too bad they do not have those 2 person paddle-y ones, like in Lagoon. That would be fun to do at the tasik. Or maybe they do, and I am unaware of it tongue.gif

Ah... Thanks. Would check that out since it's not too far.

Speaking for two people paddle, the bicycle rentall stall in bukit jalil offers couple bicycles. Not only the front behind type, they also have side by side ones. So even if one doesn't know how to cycle, no worries as balancing is not a problem.

From what I know, normally people drove there aren't just to enjoy the planes taking off and landing, most of the time it include some other things in the package. Hence some girls will like it.

It depends on circumstances. If you don't know the person well, then please don't do movie dates. If you already know the person, then you can do movie dates but make sure you spend more time doing other dates. If you are married and don't want to talk to your wife, go on movie dates all the time. laugh.gif

The pinch of salt was just too salty, I couldn't tahan anymore. My Genie nearly died from dehydration due to the high sodium content. I had to Rub My Genie for the past hour just to make it wet enough for him to stay hydrated.

But putting that aside.

I do believe that everyone have different opinions on the topic as there is no 100% right or wrong answer.

Some boys & girls like movies, and some other don't; what TS is suggesting is just a basic guidance on where you should be bringing your partner to in dates, rather than just going for movies (which is one of the most common dates people usually bring their partner to).

While I would agree for the most part, in the end it would depends on your partner. If he/she like the specific movie, then going to the movies is a good idea since:

1 - Your partner already wanted to watch the movie in the first place, indicating interest. So, when you invite him/her that time, it would be easier for him/her to accept the invitation for the date.
2 - If your partner likes the movie, he/she would have a lot to say after the movie, as you both can discuss the things that had happened in the movie.

While I agree that if your date is still a "friend" and not upgraded into a bf/gf yet, it would be awkward if you suddenly hold his/her hand. It would be a bold move, I would say a 50/50 move. It would either score you an instant bf/gf or an instant weirdo/pervert/awkward event.

In the end, the most important thing is to learn what your partner likes, and bring his/her to the place. Guarantee a good time!

Lets put an example to it, shall we?

===============

Let's just say you're dating a land whale and you suggested her to go for hiking together - that's your dating venue. She will have 3 outcome:

1 - She will go hiking with you, just to see your 6-pax, your muscles, your awesomely handsome face, she just wants to spend time with you, no matter where you go.
2 - She will feel that its tiring, but because you want to go, she follow only.
3 - She will feel that its tiring and a waste of time, cancel the date.

So, knowing that you're dating with a land whale it would be safer if you just bring her to EATTTT instead; FOOD will never be a wrong option, especially to girls. Women LOOOVVEESS FOOODDD, be it skinny, skeleton, normal, plump, chubby or land whale, it won't go wrong.

But of course, I am just joking and using extreme condition to give the example. But what I'm trying to say is - just get to know your date first, then bring her to places that you can guarantee she will be having a great time.

Plus point if you could bring her to places that can do activity together; As TS has mentioned - Those places that she had suggested are great.

*
not if its something the date and you both enjoy.

its about keeping each other company. and in my cases, all end up holding hands first.... in the movies! laugh.gif

This. If you don't talk about the movie afterward, what is the point of watching movies together? Most guys I went to to a date with just simply go straight back to their phones after the movies. Like, wtf? Talk to me, bitch. I'm right here, aho.

From any conversation any topic any subject also can get to know a person la. I feel it's a better way to understand him/her through things which seems not important.

Do you share similar cultural references. Can you share the same humor. She appreciates the story more, the graphic work more, or the art more.

Why the F u want to know bout her family, where she lives, what she have studied bla bla bla.......he/she could fabricate those anyway lol.

It is true that she can fabricate about her family, where she lives, what she have studied and more, but if you are truly looking for an honest relationship, wanting to find someone that you can rely on, that you can hold on to, that you can love for a long-period of time; trust and honesty is very much needed.

Are you saying that you're fabricating a lot of things in life to your partner? From earning only 3k a month, to owning a successful business with over 300k turnover, and wanting to buy p*ssy cream to your so called imaginative "wife" that you had 6 years ago. (Note: Those were your own threads) I see that it is quite sad that you need to imagine so many things, that you are not sure which is real and which is not, don't worry, you can Rub My Genie, and if he's satisfied, who knows? Maybe he'll grant you 3 wishes. icon_rolleyes.gif

Well I guess it is true that from any conversation of any topic, any subject, we get to know a person by just how he speaks. Thanks - I very much agree on that.

hmm sure i do get your point, even on your first post, but if your mind is open enough (and you're not a boring companion in the movie house), you can get to know your date more in the movie house - and it doesn't even require you to be touchy.

you may be having your attention on the movie, but at some points you can definitely (instinctively) watch her reactions. how would she react on various situations on the movie can definitely help you take a peek of her personality. a comedy would be an awesome genre to watch with someone you are going to have a date with for the first few times - you can see and hear her laugh, and heck you can laugh with her. also, be ready to answer (properly) some of the questions she may ask within the movie. she can also very well do the same to you.

i've taken girls to movies for dates. i'm not much of a movie person but i know when and how to enjoy it when i'm with someone. some went okay, some had gone awkward. but i always do pay attention on how my date reacts on some parts of the movie, because i know that's a part of her personality. that's getting to know your date better in the movies.

but, movies are not for everyone. this doesn't work on everyone.

===============

*
I was merely responded to your reply on him haha. Didn't expect you to reply wih such a long post.

That's very kind of you for willingly sharing with all of us :respet:

But then, what if it is a landwhale that kept saying she is fat and on diet? She will be unhappy if bring to eat good foods but if bring to exercise she also can't take it. Then in this moment, what to do? hmm.gif

Jokes on you because TS is a female and she has a bf (stated in previous post).  She's speaking on the receiving end and there are other forummers that agree with her views.

Everyone has their own view. You can bring girls to cinema while others can bring elsewhere.  But calling others dumb is a personal attack and you should be ashamed of as an adult.

Just the other day, I had a conversation with some friends and the topic drifted to: what were/would be their itinerary for the first date? The unanimous answer was "Movie + Date".

So we could all consider the tried and tested formula of Movie+Dinner as the SAFEST way to conduct a first date and it probably is. Kind of like a FD account. But unlike FD, romance is not protected by PIDM! No one is gonna save your ass if your date is not impressed! huhuhu

For the introverts among us, a movie is very a useful tool as an icebreaker, but it has one HUGE disadvantage. It takes up 2-3 hours of valuable time that could be better spent finding out more about your partner! Conversations (rather than action sequences and awesome soundtracks) are MUCH better at creating a bond. Say, if your outing was 4 hours long, 50% of it could have been spent in the dark in the cinema, or those 2 hours could be spent holding your date's hand, looking up into the starry sky and pouring out your heart. Or your dinner, if you ate too much.

There are also people who date constantly, and the same thing (Movie+Dinner) over and over again can become more like a chore or a routine. Then there are also others (like me!) who are not that all into movies. Some people want a change, some excitement, and crave a sense of adventure and creativity from our (potential) partner(s).

I personally find just Movie+Dinner kind-of-maybe-a-little-bit of a cliche, therefore, I came up with a bunch of alternatives that I hope will help the guys and gals here:

8. Sightseeing outside of the city, like watching planes takeoff and land in KLIA, or a quiet walk in Putrajaya.

These are few I could think of! It would be great to hear what other venues everyone else has done/plan to do!

landwhale on a diet? Well there are still a lot of options to bring her to:

- Restaurants that serves healthy food (make sure it still tastes good, read reviews first before going)
- Cook for her, nothing beats this - cooking for your partner is always romantic and sweet, even when it tastes like shit - it still will taste like 5 Star Michelin dish to your love ones.
- And lastly, just hold her soft and warm squishy waist, lean towards to her ear and whisper softly, "My dear, you don't need to be on a diet, you're already perfect for me", then give her a kiss on her cheeks and slowly move outwards while maintaining eye contact. Wah I tell you brother, better you don't do that if she's in your car, else when she releases her Niagara Falls, your car will get flooded from the inside.

Hah.
Really. No offense but this really sounds like a joke from someone who doesn't date.

Firstly this so highly depends on the girl and not just the guy. So this so called article becomes a too generic high level idea. And it just becomes an idea.

Secondly nobody goes just for a movie for the date alone. It should always be paired with dinner or another event or activity. If you do just the movie alone then yes you're definitely not prepared. Our unless your conversational skills are very good, then good for you and her.

No. Do not assume those list of activities are suitable.
Those are a good list for extra activity and might not for a date.
Some of these are easily a friend zone, bro zone activity.

Like i said, it highly depends on your "date". If you don't understand him /her, you're not doing things right. And this normally takes time. Don't rush. And don't expect typical advice if list like this to work.

Just do it as comfortably as you could. Nobody likes a jittery date. Coz you'll end up adopting nonsense or spoiling the date.

QUOTE(fearless_kiki @ Feb 12 2019, 08:42 PM)
So I had a conversation with other people about where guys would bring dates to. The most cliche response were: go to movies, follow up with a dinner. (because everyone watches movies so it's a no brainer?)

You know what?

Bringing your date to the movies is the worst place you can bring.

You are wasting 2 hours of your date having 0 interactions.  You cannot be touchy touchy to the girl because she's not your girlfriend (at least not yet). Any attempts would be deemed as hamsap. After the movie you think you have 1 topic to start the conversation?  Well,  what if the movie suck? Hah.

Well there are many lyn members who can't date to save their lives though. (as seen in other TS)

As I mentioned and I agree with you, need to do research of the date and understand him/her to date accordingly.

I can only share simple effective tips.

1. Don't assume that the date is immediately your lifetime partner. It's good to be sincerely in love, but don't over display until it's creeping her out.

2. Be a good man, reliable, trustworthy. How? Firstly need to be a friend who can listen more. First few dates, try not to talk too much. Ask few simple questions first. Depends on her response, you can show more interest to listen to her more to explain.
E.g. If you know she's in IT course, you can ask something like "why did you pick the IT course?", and anything she answers, you can show more interest in wondering why? (subtly) like "oh?", open your eyes bigger with interest, and ask further "is that what all girls think of IT?" or "what made you think or have those thoughts?"
Consider your body language. It's quite important to learn this.

3. Don't lie nor over exagerrate things. May work for short term but once exposed or realized things never work out well. There will be "expectations" already once that happens.

Activities doesn't really matter. It's the chance and opportunity to converse and find out more with each other.

While you're right movie dating don't interact much, like I said noone dates just with the movie.
Even if you fetch her, you get to talk to her while driving. Makan, also can talk. Walking before or after also can talk. Or other activity before or after.
Movie part you can get to find out more of her preference of movies and for her to find out about yours.

Lemme tell you why movie and dinner is a good idea.

You ask a girl out, you have no idea what her preferences are. I saw you updated a lot of suggestions, but on a high level, let's break down the options.

Category:
- Indoor / Outdoor
- Sport / Leisure
- Packed environment / chill environment
- Coffee / Tea / Beer
- Sweet food / non-sweet food

Some people, can be one and not the other, while some can be both. Without foresight or additional information, you have a 50:50 chance of getting it wrong. And getting it wrong will means it is a terrible date for the girl as you are bringing her to do something that she really dislike. Imagine a princess, don't like being under the sun, you bring her to the beach, where there's scarcely any shades. Sure the beach view is amazing, but it's sunny, and the girl hates being sweaty.

If you watch the movie, and you only can find 1 thing to talk about, I can conclude 2 possible description about you and your date.
1. you chose a terrible movie which have very little in its plot. whole movie talk about 1 thing only.
2. you have poor communication / observation skills.

When I bring up a topic, i don't ask it in a way that the girl will respond to it by saying Yes/No.

Make it an open ended question, "oh, for that scene, if it was you, what would you have done instead? do you think that character could have prevented the misunderstanding from escalating if she had confronted her partner instead of assuming?"

if you ask this type of question, not just you're making a conversation, you have a nice scenario set up by the movie, and you get to understand the girl further, on whether is she a confrontational person and if she is the type that is willing to talk about the problem in the relationship as opposed to running away.

Make use of the movie, to understand more about the girl and what she likes, then use the information for subsequent dates.

Great tips!

I feel like many guys especially cc guys tend to forget 1 and 2. This is based on an experiment I made previously. I don't know about 3 because they already failed the 1st 2 elements due to despo. Especially 2nd point as they don't seem to care who you truly are but only how you might look like.

Well, in terms of understanding or knowing what a person likes, can be gauged through conversations. Unless maybe if you want to date a stranger like the salesgirl in the mall then you have a point.

But then if she is a princess and you can't tolerate princess attitude then hey, beach is a good place to test her. And you don't have to waste time on her after that.

However I'm really speechless on your last point, on making use of the movie plot to know a person. That's actually genius! Give you a thumbs up! But I wonder how many guys are have the quick response like you though...

Bro, she is freaking 17 years old. I do not think a person of that age has a very good grasp on the concept nor value of "gold".

At best, she wants a good time. I do not think that she is capable of much demands at this point in time, and I mean that in both interpretations.

KL Tower? He set the bar too high for himself and created a fake illusion of himself as a rich guy zzz... Even if the girl not a gold digger, she would be dissapointed of anything else lesser in the 2nd date.

And I agree with ViktorJ that most girls in that age won't think of gold digging.

It's not lame.

Tbh, it depends on your date's interest and intelligence or attitude/suitability with you.

Both of you average pipul, go ahead watch movie, drift about. Walk at pasar malam and keep makan.

She's a smart and atas atas pipul (like menteri daughter) : probably if she likes musicals or theather drama - spend money enjoy being an atas pipul or bring her to your life of lower class.

She's religious - probably you couldn't bring her to movies, ceramah agama or listen to agama things like temple seminar church talks etc.

She bodo and carefree: Ok warung, eat at jalan eat keropok already can win her heart. Beranak 10 seem possible...

Have fun figuring out your SO.

17 years old doesn't have much experience to become a gold digger "yet".

While I don't really support your relationship, I mean you're in your 30s, dating someone who just finished SPM is really................ I don't think she even knows what she wants in her life yet... Don't cheat a young girl's heart lah, what if that happens to your daughter in the future next time?

But then, since you've asked for recommendations... I think bringing her anywhere that is not fancy can already... Since you said you wanna test if she's a gold digger or not, you can just try bringing her to mamak or pasar malam...

I really hope she doesn't Rub Your Genie...

Its too bad that everything is done online nowadays.

Back in the old days, bringing her to school and looking like her papa to go collect her SPM results would have counted as a date as well. No need think hard about date ideas for March.

Genie, I do not think he actually intends to cheat her heart. But I am getting this kind of vibe:

Subtly ask her what cuisine she likes. It makes no sense for me to intro a Chinese restaurant if she likes French food.

And what is your budget

I brought my ex to places where my childhood memories were, and where I considered to have the strongest of memories. It's seriously better to bring your date to places that are interesting where y'all can talk to each other about stuff.

Plus, it's an adventure.

Just because it's cliched doesn't mean ppl shouldn't do it.

Depending on the movie, it gives the both of you something to talk about... and that's how you get to know each other.

When I dated my wife, I took her out to tango.

I'm shocked that partner dancing isn't on your long list of dating activities. LOL.

It's by far the easiest and quickest way to get intimate, provided you are not a shitty lead with zero rhythm & zero skills.

Many girls actually enjoy dancing and loooooove the idea of being shown a good time on the dance floor.

Problem is most men are too lazy and too lansi to learn proper dances. Their loss was my gain.

Many girls actually enjoy dancing and loooooove the idea of being shown a good time on the dance floor.

Problem is most men are too lazy and too lansi to learn proper dances. Their loss was my gain.

That is, if the movie is worth talking about + your date actually enjoy the movie. The reasons I don't encourage movie dates are, not only less interactions, you have almost nil memories going further. I can have better examples to go than movies. Mickey Go event, you can have photos as memories or Mamonde beauty event where you can make pressed flowers bookmark that you can exchange with your date. Those events are free and memorable. Movie can't provide that. The only memorable moment in a movie date might be the protagonist who died in the movie.

Dancing, that is a good suggestion. I never thought of dancing as an activity because (of your last point) not many guys know ballroom dancing. Hip hop dancer I know a few. But nope, not ballroom. I don't know anyone that can dance tango. Yes, you are right. Girls enjoy dancing (even for those who can't dance). Yeah it will also be nice to dance during the wedding ceremony. But that's just a dream for me because even though my bf could dance, he doesn't like to be on the stage. *sob sob*

But even if one knows how to dance, I don't even know where you can dance with your date properly apart from your house or her house. Because even if you rent a hotel, it is mostly too small to move around. (Playing guitar is much more easier, don't need much space) Bars? If it is not crowded and the songs are appropriate? I don't know. Do share some places with us if you know.

2. Karaoke
3. Park
4. Events or popout bazaars
5. Window shopping
6. Ice skating
7. Hiking
8. Airport or other sight seeing places
