in my cell, we had a rule, everyone must take a shower at least once a day. And we made the newcomers wash the cell and toilet every week. my cell was relatively clean because of that. but other cells were just nasty.

2 good quality boxers, 2 good quality stretchable long pants, 2 cotton T-shirts. This is the maximum amount of clothes you are allowed to bring in.

Either arrange for someone to come see you every week and pay the prison, or put a large amount of money at the prison under your name.

The currency inside prison is loose tobacco and maggi mee. you have to roll your own ciggies.

long term inmates had box. i kept mine in my box. we didn't have pillows lah, my friend. those inmates without a box kept their stuff in plastic bags.

maggi mee and loose tobacco is the currency inside the prison.

inmates will bring in loose tobacco by wrapping it in plastic and swallowing it before they enter the prison and pooping it out once inside.

no one regulates the tobacco. its supply and demand.

for coffee, i bought coffee powder from the prison store to trade with other inmates for stuff that i want, because i don't drink coffee.

connection is so important in life, whether you are into legal or illegal stuff.

Be a respectable person, learn how to be articulate in speech, make friends and acquaintances, be warm and friendly without being creepy. You will go far in life if you do this.
