I have complained to Unifi so hopefully they will send over a more thorough / skilled technician to help check. Else, it looks like I'll be downgrading to 100mbps.

No repeater mode, i tried.. and  i asked, dlink man in his thread said no repeater.

Hi guys why is my download speed is so slow? I'm using Archer T6E wifi adapter meanwhile on my iPhone im getting around 80mbps. It seems like something is bottlenecking my speed.
My unifi plan is 800mbps with cable btw

I'm lucky my house has built-in CAT 5E cables set as telephone points. I just need to change the wall faceplates to RJ45, and put wired APs there. Hence great Wifi speed & coverage.

- D-Link DIR-868L running Tomato firmware as router (Wifi disabled)
- Tenda AC18 as ground floor AP & cheap NAS
- Another D-Link DIR-868L as master bedroom AP (second hand)
- D-Link DIR-850L as first floor family area's AP (second hand too) - 89mbps toilet speed
- TP-Link SG108E as main switch connecting all 3 APs to router
- Raspberry Pi 3 B+ running various monitoring apps, connected to SG108E's mirror port
- HyppTV connected via Powerline

Unless your wireless devices are state of the art, you won't reach 500 Mbps on wireless.
And you certainly won't do it without spending a lot of money. A lot more than what tm is offering.

IMO, its not worth it.

I see. The one that usually throttle the speed is modem or router?

I just changed my LAN cable, and i get 60 mbps improvement. But now still only 1/2 of the maximum speed.

Yup 200-300Mbps is what you can expect from a 2x2 ac WiFi connection
