we assume expenditure fixed liddis 2.55k and the rest go saving:

then we see annual increment in malaysia 8%:

means after 6 years at age 30:

total income: 237684
total expenditure: 183600

so savings: total income - total expenditure = RM54084.

if you do better than this you edi above average. kek what a joke.

ok la, that is a good investment, though make sure your loan repayments isnt eating up too much of your salary.

You need to have sufficient cash for emergency purposes

Nice, fiancee is aiming to get a condo as our second home (probably for rental) but i'm skeptical if we should do it.

Rather park our cash in stocks as my returns on stocks have been > than property rental brows.gif

Me already 30. Only worked for 4 years so very hard to catch up. Salary low maybe enter midfag threshold this year if lucky.
20k savings/ASB.
51k EPF.

I understand the struggle. I also start working at a later age then peers. The only redeeming point for me are my job had a lot of site work. So i had site allowance + no need to spend my salary aside from rental fees. And i havent bought a house yet till now.

So i managed to come up with 120k saving at 30. Owh i jump a lot too to increase my basic. All the best to you.

I wish I had some allowances to back up my basic pay, but difficult even to claim for OTs.
Anyways I'm positive and optimistic for future. Not too bad I guess. Lulz.
