it says, i think, u click "add" on the app to get the option for free trial.

TV Channels, ya, most are unimpressive.

Apps... Depends on what u r paying.

Netflix 4k is great; Disney, iqiyi good; hbogo sucks.

i advise u to go online n chat with them.

usually, if u upgrade to ultimate plus or max, there is a new box given + 24m contract.

take note TV pack is independent from broadband, i.e. yr 500mbps if contract free now, will remain contract free.

my D+H under ultimate max has 4K UHD, HDR, Atmos for selected titles.

i dun think they can raise price until the contract is over.

i wud be more pleased if they give me auto upgrade to 4k for IQIYI.

from my last exp... if yr broadband contract is over, u will lose the discount if u downgrade the tv pack.

if u upgrade, u can keep it. that is, it's about whether u pay more or less at the bottom line.

those that were in 4kHDR before are still there.

i see nothing new in 4kHDR.

maybe it applies to ala carte only.

that is why Netflix commands a higher price.

netflix premium offers a lot more movies n tv shows in 4kHDR or 1080pHDR.

plus it has a good variety of eng, chinese, japanese stuff.

hope in about a year's time when many contracts expire, there will be more combinations to consider.

i personally like Netflix, Iqiyi with ultimate pack.

watch Disney+ sometimes, but hardly Viu or HBOgo.

wud be nice to hv netflix, prime video, iqiyi, youku - that will be perfect.


House of Dragon S02 is now on but it's depressing to watch it on HBOGo's 720p or lower.

Those About to Die S01 is on on Prime Video now - this show can rival Game of Thrones.

there is generic android and there is androidTV/googleTV OS.

unifitv app works well only on ATV/GTV, not generic.

other apps like netflix, iqiyi work on both but hv some differences in display, navigation.

go for the ones mentioned already.

or, if changing TV, buy a ATV/GTV tv - these have built in ATV/GTV, no need box, works very well, very reliable.

that happens when u downgrade the tv pack - u lose the original discount.

upgrading or status quo will not hv that.

no plans on using VPN.

will wait n see if new n better combinations will come.

(this has little to do with unifitv but is very useful info for whoever's interested in Amazon Prime Video.)

something went wrong with my credit card... got suspended, terminated!

anyway, if sgd5, it's still a little cheaper than rm25 regular.

i looked at my records... it's been a year since i took my package.

high time!

HBO has many great shows.

can rival Netflix although it doesn't have as many shows or as great a variety.

due to this shitty hbogo for so long, i don't even bother.


any idea if unifitv will charge extra as replacement on ultimate max or options to be provided?

if direct replacement, that will be alright - 1080p, DD.

if there's option like netflix to upgrade to 4kHDR, Atmos, i will probably be uninterested.

netlfix 4khdr is useful as most of the new movies, tv shows are of this quality, and there are plenty new ones every month.

i m a little confused... maybe due to use of "unifitv Ultimate MAX" vs (HBO) "MAX Ultimate".

(why cant they use other words for super, duper, hyper... or level 1-2-3-4...? )

i m on ultimate max now, getting HBO go.

first i got message that i will get HBO max, no change in anything.

then, another message came that this HBO max is only for 3 months.

questions:

.. will i get max in std or ultimate (4K) for 3 months?

.. after 3 months, if i do nothing, what do i get? nothing but HBOgo? or Max std?

.. if i get nothing except HBOgo after 3 months, how much do i pay extra to get max std? max ultimate?
