Folks, quick question here

WIth my recent SWU upgrade my Unifi TV box been replaced from the white to black box. What I found is the sound is 50% lower than previous box. Obviously I can increase the volume at my amplifier or TV, but kinda cumbersome, everytime need to adjust the volume.

Hence wondering if there any setting thats I missed out? The TVbox volume itself is at max. Thanks

I also tested other apps within Unifi-box, netflix, unifitv, bbc, etc all of them the volume is low

Previously before changing the uinifi bos, on my Denon X8500h the volume is set at -45dB and it works across all my connections (PC, Q10pro, unifi, astro, etc) there would be slight difference when I switch between the equipment, but its was listenable, hence I dont need to manually adjust.
Now with unifiTv, I need ramp up the volume to -25-20dB!!! I need to recheck if they changed my hdmi or reused my older cable, that could also a reason, but I doubt. Didnt find time today, maybe these 2-3 days

I havent tested pass thru to TV, will also try it out. Since 99% of the time I use my amp.

Thx folks, will need further investigation. I guess I need spend time to setup the Unifi apps, so far manage to setup my netflix that came free, need to setup the login I guess....hate doing this...but oklah...one time thingy

-45dB = 35 normal volume
Now I had to increase to 60 normal volume, just tried HBO

And yes q10p been sluggish and gave up recently since my parents and in-law was complaining. Basically using PC now (lenovo Y700; 7yrs old, its still ok la; has 7.1ch output as well

Is HBO GO itself intentionally bad or is it UnifiTV's problem? 720p on a large screen TV is lol.

Should be minimum 1080p based on what I search online. I mean 720p in 2023 is lol. Did you ask Unifi if 720p is intentional or momentarily for HBO GO?

I'm waiting for UnifiTV team to call after raising inquiry regarding TV plans. If HBO GO is legit 720p on UnifiTV, I'm not gonna consider it lol.

Nothing to expect on live tv since unifi tv live channel often bad. But to HBO go , I can’t see any different when using the acc via unifi plan and compared standalone subscribed previously. FYI I am using apple tv and ios

But dun get me wrong , HBO go quality is usually bad although even get it from Astro plan or standalone.

That’s why WB has started abandon HBO go app and move on with MAX on western region. Possibly we might get the same treatment on next year since WB started focus the app for APAC area.

Netflix 1080p and Disney+ of course much better than HBO go. Like I say, HBO go quite notorious when comes  debate on bad quality

This is my personalized Unifi TV Box’s apps. Just updated to Android 12 with Netflix officially available by default besides Unifi TV app. Connected to LAN Port 4 as well for seamless viewing.



Since Lionsgate Play is discontinued, I have to disable the app in settings instead of just uninstall it. Surprisingly, both Astro TV (need Multiroom subscription) & sooka (need sooka TV Plan) apps can be downloaded directly from Play Store. I’ve downloaded it just in case, since I’m yet to subscribe those services.

For those who got sms on upgraded speed, does the new speed immediately reflected or need some time? I got sms this morning, came back from office and straight away reset routers/modem. Still can’t get the new 500mbps, tested using wifi6e devices. Using TP Link Archer C1200 which supposed can get 500mbps on wifi.

if not becos hbo having live tv and being so cheap in unifi plan with netflix , i also wont hesitate ignore to upgrade it =D.

but dont worry , its just matter of time that we will have MAX in malaysia too.

Is it possible the implication is a new TV pack?  Im still waiting for UnifiTV team to call back, not even sure what they can offer/nego with me as no interesting promos now.

Any disadvantage in going for option 2 with direct ethernet connection? Thanks

The new UPB no need specific LAN port like old White UPB, normal port will do 

You can set-back the LAN 3 to normal by setting in Router IPTV - UniFi-Business

The new DLink router free from Unifi has 3 LAN ports only

The only thing I want from unifi tv is Travel Channel have subtitles la. I need to watch ghost docs in subs in TIL I using Travel Channel USA source

New apps: Paramount+, Vidol, Vidio, Sony LIV, Apple TV and SunNXT
New linear channels: Discovery channels (including lifestyle channels like TLC and Food Network), Lifetime, HITS NOW, HISTORY, CI, CNN, Eurosport, Zee channels, Sony India channels, TVB channels (including TVBS Asia), EBC Taiwan channels, Disney | Star India channels (like Vijay TV HD) and Sun TV channels.
New features: Cloud recording (convenient for users to record their fav programs even Unifi TV doesn't license them as VOD), multilingual menu and app surface, channel quality settings (auto-max, data saver and recommended (depends on Internet speed).

Hi, anyone can watch HBO GO using UPB? Im trying search on google play store but no result.

I tried enter using unifi tv apps and when i enter hbo go, it said “not available in your country”.

Using chat support but no resolve yet from their side.

At the moment watching HBO GO using my phone.

Seems likely , last time they need use vlan 600 due to hypptv time, now all black box can run both vlan , they start to abandon it and even the old box too

You got the hiccup image too on vlan600? So I'm not the only one then...I did complaint to TM, but they want to check on site which actually not convenient for me right now....I was thinking to replaced the router!!

Did you plug the upb box with vlan500 port? , at least try to plug vlan500/non-iptv port and see it how.

The latest TVS channel has insignificant fps happening since its launch. Originally it’s 25fps, using VLAN.

Happened to me on every channel for VLan 600....for normal Vlan500 through wifi, no hiccup at all...kinda sad really....Unifi especially TM supposedly should focus more for quality of service, they actually bigger than Astro!

i recently upgraded to the latest UPB box (i think v2) from my white stb box. my parents usualy watch the TV3 news on unifi tv. when i try on the upb box unifi tv app, the all the live channels cant load... tried a few times to restart box also same

set up by myself... using wifi.
haha yes wifi working..other apps all working.. only the unifi tv app cant stream
