The teaser than wraps with the logo and the year 2008 blazoned across the screen. PlayStation and Xbox logos appear at the end, signaling that the title will be available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

since the chance of 360 getting Tekken is pretty slim, i guess we have to make do with the Soul Calibur series, which is mucho awesomeness anyway.

This video of the game is just an intro, it doesn't really show any fighting. I think they just wanted to reveal a little bit of information about the game at a time.
I am glad to see that Soul Caliber 4 is being developed for the X360.
Soul Caliber 2 was on the original Xbox, but not Soul Caliber 3. This caused some people to think Soul Caliber 4 might not be released on the X360. I am glad to see that we now know for sure Soul Caliber 4 will be released for the X360.
If the Virtua Fighter 5 fighting game is any indication, the X360 version of the Soul Caliber 4 fighting game will be the best version of this great fighting game series.
I just hope Soul Caliber 4 has online play like Ridge Racer, which runs at a smooth 60 frames per second on the X360

egm august issue got this game as cover story ... not bad actually .. but the nightmare guy like those jinpachi in tekken lor .. got mulut kat perut ..
there was a game, rumble roses was it that allowed gamers to customize and reduce bust size? haha, hopefully the SC team take note and copy that feature. ivy and taki look ridiculous

sigh..back then when soul edge came out i just started to love weapon based fighting
then first soul calibur the girls are pretty but still not look like forgot to wear panties or bras..or clothes just like now.. to think namco want to make gamers pervert/dirty
when playing as Ivy in SC3 with my sister she started to look like O.o
Anybody know if there will be any goodies coming with the LE or pre-order goodies coming along this game for the Asia version? As far as i know, the UK are really getting some great stuff from a free face plate to bonus DVD and art book.
Yesterday we posted pictures of guys who got their hands on Soulcalibur IV, 10 days before its release date of July 29. Today, we have video. I guess you can just walk into any store and ask them to break the street date and get your game. Here's Yoda vs. Ivy, Yoda taking it 4-1 with a lot of button mashing and bad camera work. If the game looks repetitive, I think these guys' admittedly bad technique (" I hadn't played a Soul Calibur title since Soul Calibur 2 a couple years ago, so our match is pretty bad.") might be to blame, not the game. If any of you manage to snag this, we'd appreciate a more informed breakdown of gameplay in the comments.
The game is out in SG. Got my copy for PS3 last nite.. : D Now I'm waiting for the X360 version along with a new unmoded X360 coz I wanna go online to pit with my 360 friends .
Seeing most of my friends on my list playing the game makes me feel a little jealous of them. Anyway other than the Star Wars characters inside it, not really much of a fan of fighting games. Just being able to control Yoda in the game is already a good enough reason to get the game.
Some comparison btw PS3 and X360.. ya you get to see Yoda : D
My opinion from this game is.. the technique move are not as in-depth as Tekken. Tekken series is my all time most top favourite fighting game. I can see how the developers added the effort on making this game a long lasting and fun. The chararter creation mode too is very fun, you can buy weapon and modify the skill base on what you need.
Seriously this is a A title for fighting genre. : D
Don't ask me where I got the game, and for you info I'll buy the original one when I got my new unmoded X360 simply becoz I wanna play with my friend online on XLive. Enjoy~
well its obvious this game is not a mash up of tekken .. tekken kinda like u push punch punch, punch + kick, kick kick, button combo thingy . ( tekken 6 gameplay kinda disappointing . why the hell they put the juggle thingy damn namco sigh >___> )
soul calibur is different its where u need to technically to button mashing ur oppenant .. well i hope this game won't disappointment me coz the previous soul calibur 3 sucks because of certain character movement has change like mitsurugi and kilik .
I'm already on the fence whether I'm supposed to like Soul Calibur IV. I don't deny that I absolutely loved Soul Edge, Soul Calibur and Soul Calibur II. SCIII was meh, but IV was supposed to return to the SCII style of gameplay. But what's with the tarting up of the female fighters? Taki and Ivy are getting healthier with each successive sequel. Sophitia is looking to be a MILF at this point. Cassandra has a critical finish that's even less appropriate than Sophitia's 'please enjoy my pantsu' attack. I feel dirty just typing that... It really is Oppai Calibur IV at this point! DOA has nothing on SCIV...
Just grabbed Soul Calibur IV from DjiNn. The graphics are exceptional. Of the 3D fighters on 360, Soul Calibur IV is easily the best looking. The physics engine integrated into the game also makes the hits look painful, similar to how Tekken feels. Soul Calibur has always felt a bit floaty, but I've gotten used to that. The integration of physics into the game thankfully don't alter the experience. I'll be spending some time with this game for a while.
Never like soul caliber cause to me it's just button smashing fighting game. i even lost to my niece who is 6 years old when playing on previous version.

fighting games actually fun though...especially when we can control yoda..tiny green lil fella...anyway soul calibur...not soul caliber...

man this game is ok but i feel disappointed on some of the aspect such as story ( quite so so story ).. there should make it like soul calibur 2 . instead they focus more on the character creation .
anyway the xbox live is so damn freaking lag .. maybe is the tmnut screamyx that i used . damn . cannot play peacefully with the lag . >____>
anyway i cannot find team battle / survival mode and also shop mode .. do u guys know where to find it ive search on gamefaqs but still not updated .
oh ya , yoda is freaking easy to use and its weird to hear yoda talkin in japanese .. ..
and also i noticed u can smash the armor of the other combatants but cannot rip off shirts or shred all the clothes >___<

damn namco bandai lazy to make the battle records more efficient like soul calibur 2 .(no character usage, stats) and the xbox live records looks fugly .. man a lot of "items" missing in this game ... damn i missed soul calibur 2 a lot . how i wish they make this like soul calibur 2 .
God, is it me or is creator of this game is lazy? story mode only 5 level? LOL.
Well haven tried the tower mode. Looks fun but need some training with my samurai man.
it is becoz at SC3.. people complain the story mode too long..
in SC4 each stage you have to fight 3-4 opponent.. so.. it sorta make it up for the lack of level.

My neighbour and I played against shoefreeze yesterday... he is very good... but had to leave the game after a few rounds bcos my halo party started hehehehehe... maybe tonight can play again
