]June 13, 2007 - At a press event held yesterday in downtown San Francisco, Namco Bandai Games officially unveiled Soulcalibur IV, the fourth title in its weapons-based fighting series. The only bits of info to come out of the event were via a very short teaser, which you can find on our video page.
The trailer contains little more than glimpses at a few pieces of character art for the likes of Mitsurugi, Ivy and Nightmare. Between shots of environments, the two swords Soul Edge and Soulcalibur and said characters, the follow words appeared:
"Transcending history and the world, a tale of souls and swords, eternally retold. Soul Edge and Soulcalibur. The story of these two awakened swords and the warriors that have been drawn to them slowly heads towards its inevitable conclusion..."
The teaser than wraps with the logo and the year 2008 blazoned across the screen. PlayStation and Xbox logos appear at the end, signaling that the title will be available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Unfortunately, that was all there was to it. If you want to see if for yourselves, head to our video page below.

since the chance of 360 getting Tekken is pretty slim, i guess we have to make do with the Soul Calibur series, which is mucho awesomeness anyway.
