QUOTE(therain01 @ Jan 21 2019, 07:31 PM) Yes serious. Because I'm still receiving letter from maxis and Maybank under the ex tenant name. I haven't check the latest letter not sure any case against him but he did come visit Malaysia few months back. thats worse than my case hehe. i also experienced that. in my previous condo, i do receive letters from banks but i didnt open it, i handed it to the owner. it was named the tenant before me. he is from Indonesia. so, my worries about TM is lessen now. i deactivated my malaysian sim and no more txts and calls. they do use different numbers hehe. the only prob now is what will my ex housemate think of me. that i need to settle.

My advice is simple, dont pay. Its not a real debt as its an unfair bill, also speaking from experience. For example if you terminate BT in the UK you do pay a penalty, but not the remainder of the contract, if i remember correctly its basically like 10% of remainder of months + penalty, far far cheaper than what malaysia does. If you do come back here just go with maxis.

I think all isp share their blacklist. I used celcom internet before and they blacked me even I overpaid them when termination, few years later been told by digi I need to settle with celcom in order to sign up any plan.

QUOTE(DarkCh1Ld @ Jan 29 2019, 03:28 AM) thanks. how about the account name in their system, will it take 5 years to be deleted or it will take forever? Not the name, only ID. So if your ID with TM was a temporary one, no problem. TM will never clear their blacklist thats for sure but they blacklist by ID. So if you are malaysian for sure no way around it as they use IC, but if you are foreigner, it just depends on what ID you use. If you use a different ID, no problem.
