I Don't Know My Chipset/Device
if you don't know what the heck your chipset is, use this application to help you. Unkown Device Indentifier[/b]
I) you can see that the chipset is Silicon Intergrated Systems a.k.a SIS. therefore you need to go to www.sis.com.
II) next you notice that the chipset model is 7012. go to download/support and search for this chipset model. download the files and install. done.
I've have the exact system configuration as above, so i went to SIS website and download the driver. However when i tried to run the installation wizard some errors occurred. The first error message is "-536870397" with the title of "Update Drive for Plug and Play Devices", when i click ok, the second message appears stating "Fail to install audio driver for windows XP, Setup will exit", with the title of "SIS 7012 PCI Audio device setup - Installation wizard". these are some useful sites to look for drivers, try checking there first before posting here.

Can somebody please guide me on how i can fix it? My comp is "soundless" since i reformat it.
