Normal 16/8 is like normal Muslims fasting, there's 24 hr fasting and even 36.
Biggest problem doing this is the body not so good at adapting fat for energy. So you will likely kene keto flue. Even after a year pon still a problem as you'll get headache and disoriented while driving.
I already did it for a one year 3 months. Lost 35 kg already.
