Now I understand what you meant. If only someone created something similar to that of the switch, life would be so much simpler. LOL

Plenty of those in Lazada, it's just a simple mechanism, very cheap also

Hi bro. was this measurement taken when the engine haven't started?

CCA Seems to be very good.
Might need some battery charging (preferably using battery charger) to bump up the SOC level .

Roman, what's your opinion?

No engine was not running

I think what SleeplessEyes was trying to ask as is, was the measurement taken 1st thing in the morning before turning the ignition on.
*
Oh, yes it was taken before the engine was started for that day, but in the evening (I didn't drive the car that day).

Hi bro, ive just checked the spec for your Amaron battery.

Sorry to break the bad news, but when your battery tester show 770CCa,

And Amaron DIN 55 CCA rating is 500CCA,
Something tells me the battery cca setting during testing is not correct.
(The parameter to Set Rating).

Might wanna try set again your proper CCA rating.
I found a manual, closest to your model.

Yes I set it to 500 CCA

IINM, the CCA measure is compared to the CCA I entered, and the SOH percentage is derived from there.

Just sharing some readings when testing the batteries of 2 Peugeot cars last night. One is a 2011 308 CC and another a 208 GTi.

When doing the battery health test, both showed 1% SOH (SOC was fairly high), with only around 60-70 CCA. Resting voltage was normal around 12.5V.

Did a cranking test which cranked normally and gave a readout around 10V which is also normal.

Lastly we did a charging test which both shows a low 13.1-13.3 volts.

The 308 has a battery management unit, not sure about the GTi. I suspect the batt management is throwing off the readings, and to properly test the battery itself we'll need to remove the battery from the cars.

Bro., I don't know what brand of analyzer that you have but it looks like both of your batteries are going out & fast. Yes, to properly test the batteries, you'll have to remove them. SoC doesnt mean a thing, its the SoH that really matters.

How long has those batteries been inside since it was installed ?

Sorry I have no idea about Puegeot BMS. I don't think the BMS is suppose to throw off the readings. When you've started both vehicles, wouldn't the battery light show up in the dash or something ?

Neither car belongs to me lol.

Thing is, if it's one car then it might be a bad batt, but when both cars show almost the same low SOH and low charging voltage, I wondered if it's another French car quirk.

Both cars start normally (if it's really 1% SOH I don't think it should be able to start at all), not warning lights whatsoever. I am just baffled.

There are a couple of possibilities

1. A faulty analyzer, when was it last serviced or it has never been serviced ?

Just before I tested the Peugeots I tested another 3 cars from other car brands (it was a meetup with friends, I just so happen to have the tester with me), they all had normal readings, only the Peugeots gave these weird readings.

I was using a Lancol Micro-200 battery tester.
