For the price, rather buy a normal battery with highest cca, and put under charger once a month

It depends on your car, how good is the charging system, and what are the reasons battery dead everytime.

In my case, it's a new car, and several MF batteries die due to short plate. To solve this, is with other method and normal battery that need to add water type.
- if the solution can increase battery life from 2 to 3 years means I spend RM2xx on year 1, 4, 7 and 10 for a total of 4 batteries, that's around 1k
- if I take the Battalion battery and guarantee 10 years life, for between RM1~1.4k (no stock right now), it's worth a shot.

All Toyota sold by UMW Malaysia, should have Denso alternator made in Thailand. The words are very tiny and faint.



Shouldn't be from Japan. I will need to open up Vellfire or Alphard to see where the alternator comes from.

I've only found one seller, selling recond Toyota alternator , with Japanese wordings. Claming this is for Vios (provided it comes from 1NZ-FE engine)

what type of battery is it?
suggest just get a jump starter, drive the car for 20~30 minutes to see if it can hold charge til next morning

in my case, I have a wet type battery and that was left sitting for 2 weeks unused
I put it back to my car, it only had ~9V and couldn't crank the car

I jump started it, it shows charging at 14.1~14.2V
drove it around for half an hour, and now it's back to normal, morning voltage at 12.3V

if 2 weeks can flat, time to change the battery
unless, there's high leakage in the car even when key is off

Just curious. How did your installer wire/install your audio system, particularly the amp's remote on part? I am running a slightly more powderful than average amplifier too, but never had problem with battery drainage issue for >20yrs.

do you have a cap directly connected to the battery?

my pov, i take highest CCA rating possible for the brand. 2 brands I found putting higher CCA vs others is Camel and Astra.The old battery is still in good condition? Try repair mode overnight, 8-10 hours

i use Foxsur battery charger, it has Repair mode, saw many youtube video, for old and weak battery, it will having low CCA vs new, average 1/3 of CCA. By doing Repair mode using this Foxsur, it able to regain back 90-95% CCA back by putting it overnight. I dont have CCA reading check device, but usually b4 send car for service, doing this, the SC will share the battery test results, it shown good life

yup i remove it. scared putting electrical power maybe effect on the ECU. no issue on either the car losing the TCU/ ECU reading as it is a standard car. The only lost if taking out the battery cables for few hours is my GPS maps location, it need 5 minutes recalibrate back (automatically) after run back the engine

Rm500 for Preve battery? Damn kene cutthroat. Just take normal brand MF battery will do justice as well, Preve is not AEB required battery. For my Accord, change battery last time via apps but for around rm200+ only, forgot the exact figure.

RM490 ??? Whoaaaa.. You seldom drive, get a battery charger . Lead acid battery is not the same like phone battery. Lead acid battery prefers to be as fully charged as possible all the time.
I think your Preve only calls for 55D23L . Don't waste your money on a crazy high price battery. Not worth it. I remember I bought a 75D23L Century MF for my Inspira for 330 only in KL last year July. Almost 500 bucks for your battery is such a rip off.

You dont need to follow the 55D23L size for Preve/Suprima/Exora.
I'm currently using Yokohama NS70L (or 65D23L) size which costs around RM 200+.
Me driving Exora CFE. 55D23L is extra expensive for unknown reason despite smaller battery size. CCA for 65D23L is very similar to 55D23L.

I buy straight from car battery dealers, not through CarPut or BateriKu. So its cheaper.
