Which one to go for? Heard AMARON is better on longer life span, but from spec CENTURY technically is better?

AMARON GO NS40ZL (38B20L)
RC: 43
AH: 35
CCA: 265
-Maintenance Free
-Silver Plate Technology
-18mths warranty
-around RM205

CENTURY MARATHONER NS40ZL
RC: 50
AH: 38
CCA: 308
-Maintenance Free
-12mths warranty
-around RM185

I'd buy exide matrix, it has more CCA than both of these batteries and has the long warranty like the amaron. Hope this helps you. If you live in klang valley I can recommend you a good seller of this brand.

Today, I changed my Yokobatt battery to 4S Extreme Battery with a 2-year warranty because I noticed my car struggled to start-up on Saturday and Sunday. I asked the batteryman to test the old battery, the old 46B24RS/NS60 Yokobatt had 290CCA left when I changed the battery. I probably could've squeezed maybe half-a-year's worth of service from it, maybe? It still did great for nearly 2 years.

Bro., if you don't mind, what is the make and model of your car ?

Proton Saga FLX. My past two batteries lasted 3 years at least. The Yokobatt didn't seem promising, but then again, I got it cheap so, was to be expected.

Strange I measure voltage 12.38V but not able to start.
Replaced new battery starter came alive happy revving, once crank engine started nicely. Don't recall my starter spin so fast before.

Did you use a battery tester to see crank ratings like cca as well?

May I know where is  get Bosch  reputable  agent and dealer ?

Where you at, my man? AAS auto parts ampang love stocking bosch stuff, but I don't think they stock Bosch batteries anymore, you can try asking though.

Or go to Pudu Caltex, there's a bosch service centre next to it.

Just curious, should I trust the analogue or the digital battery tester?

The analogue tester had a load tester on it and said my battery was weak.

The digital one didn't have a load tester but it said my 46b24rs battery was 330+ CCA. I don't know if I should consider a new battery at this point or not.

What is the brand of that digital tester ?

It is weird that the digital tester did not give you the result of the battery test whether it is a Good Battery OR Good, Recharge OR Replace Battery status and neither does it have a load test programs for it.

What is your vehicle type and make ?

Don't remember for the digital brand, it was from the workshop but it said good battery. I got a Saga flx.

I have not use this brand before, therefore I am in no position to cannot comment on its quality. Strangely I tried finding info on this battery in Century Battery official website but there was none. Reckon if it is really from Century, it should be alright, anyway there ought to be warranty, so no worries ?

Had always used Hybrid and I had to constantly clean & check the battery for corrosion, hell too much of a work. Now I just stick with Marathoner Max, like why change if it ain't broken, if you get what I mean. Plus I really like Marathoner Max colouring and it somehow able to magically match all of the colour of the vehicles I had done. It really stands out especially on white & red coloured cars. 👍👍👍

Just curious, if you were me, would you get this brand or Motolite wet over Century Hybrid?

I am sorry, you were referring to which brand that's highlighted above ?
*
It was Izu.

Anyway, this 8.8 sale has an offer for Motolite wet at 129 and century hybrid at 160. Is the hybrid worth the extra 30?

I cannot speak for Izu & Motolite batteries cause I had never used them but I can vouch for Century Hybrid. Improper use of batteries & inefficient electrical charging system are usually the main culprit for premature battery failure.

I see, thanks for your input. I think I will order the Motolite then, so cheap, why not biggrin.gif
I am just buying now instead of say 11.11 because I am worried of battery prices going up soon. My battery probably has until January til it goes out, I'd reckon.
