Usually battery warranty 12 months, but few times i change battery. The battery shop/delivery guy said, u drive a Peugeot, we can only give you 8-10month warranty instead of 12 month
Can they actually do that?

Century Ultramax Din75 - VW Passat - Dead in 22 months
Amaron Hi Life Pro Din55 - Peugeot 308 - Dead in 16 months
The amaron got 18mth warranty. Send it back to the shop where they recharge the battery. they gave a cheap din55 test battery but even that one few times cant start the car.. Now already fit back the amaron battery and still testing..

QUOTE(Roman Catholic @ Mar 7 2020, 03:16 AM) Interesting, well at least the Ultramax lasted more that the warranty period of 21 months. Question when you first bought the new vehicles, did Century's Ultramax and Amaron's Hi Life Pro came as stock with the new cars ? If they weren't, could you please share the names of those batteries that came in your new cars ? Both are 8/9 years old car, couldn't remember what battery was installed from factory Actually even though the ultramax is stated to have 21mth warranty from Century, the receipt produced by the battery dealer there written 15 month only.. QUOTE(Roman Catholic @ Mar 7 2020, 10:21 AM) Bro, by any chance would you remember how much you paid for the Century's Ultramax DIN75 and Amaron's Hi Life Pro DIN55, both that came with a 15 month dealer's warranty ? Ultramax din75 iinm was around rm360-375. Hi life pro din55 rm320 Wanted to replace the ultramax with another ultramax but cant seem to find any seller that is selling it. Now most seller only sell varta and amaron din 74/75 which cost around rm470++ with only 18 month warranty So ended up downgrading to century marathoner din66 for rm360 with 18mth warranty This post has been edited by Boy96: Mar 7 2020, 10:32 AM

QUOTE(Roman Catholic @ Mar 7 2020, 11:37 AM) For whatever reason, I can only suspect Century's Ultramax model is for catered for specific clientele, which explains the sarcity in supply at most resellers. That's strange I thought all Marathoner models comes with a12 month warranty period. I will definately have to check that out. And thanks for the pricing and I will revert if I get any news about why dealers provide a lower warranty period. Final question, when the Marathoner DIN66 was installed, were you provided with an official warranty card that came new inside the box together with the new battery ? Theres a warranty card in the box but the seller didnt give it to me. Only in the receipt it says 18 months and they said my records will be updated in the system. I bought the battery from the official Century Battery Malaysia 24/7 helpline..

QUOTE(Roman Catholic @ Apr 24 2022, 04:23 PM) Bro., I don't know what brand of analyzer that you have but it looks like both of your batteries are going out & fast. Yes, to properly test the batteries, you'll have to remove them. SoC doesnt mean a thing, its the SoH that really matters. How long has those batteries been inside since it was installed ? Sorry I have no idea about Puegeot BMS. I don't think the BMS is suppose to throw off the readings. When you've started both vehicles, wouldn't the battery light show up in the dash or something ? The 308 CC was my car, the battery was installed 2 weeks ago. Same brand as the old battery. The old battery lasted 4 years. Amaron Hi Life Pro Din 55 The 208 GTi was running on the same Amaron HiLife Pro Din55 as well, but not quite sure how old. This post has been edited by Boy96: Apr 24 2022, 04:59 PM

QUOTE(Roman Catholic @ Apr 24 2022, 05:01 PM) Installed 2 weeks ago ? Hmmm ... Did the battery reseller do the battery & electrical charging test and gave you a report ? Could you share it please if you have that ? No not really, i just changed it because i felt that its already too old and sometimes my car display would show up "economy mode active" upon startup earlier. Edit. Now i remember few years back i went to a battery shop to test my battery. While it was plugged in it did report Replace Battery and weird soc (or soh i cant remember) reading, but once they remove the battery from the car and did test outside the car , the battery was in good health condition. QUOTE(Roman Catholic @ Apr 24 2022, 08:32 PM) Ok lets go back to your story, battery tested in car says Replace Battery status. Removed and tested the battery individually it showed Good Battery status. After that what happened ? BTW are those the correct battery spec DIN55L for both your cars i.e. 208 1.6 GTi & 308 1.6 Turbo ? No more major Modification of Posts any longer. If there is, its usually gramatical errors minor stuffs. 😊 After that installed the battery back on the car and drove it for 2 years+ with no issues. Yes din55l is the stock battery size that came from factory for both of these cars. But the tray can fit a larger size din62/66 as well

QUOTE(alexei @ Mar 6 2023, 08:35 PM) How long can the Eco-idle stay under, before the car is started on its own and idles while not moving? Or, as long as it's active, the car will stay under until the brake is released... hot die in car like that. On my car during hot weather with the AC on, traffic light another 15-20seconds before turning green the engine already restarted back.. however i tried at night time with aircon off, engine never restart..

I am looking for a replacement 12v battery that has the circled part at the bottom of the battery in order to properly fit my car. Preparing now since its already cross 1 years old.. The stock battery is 38B20L size with CCA : 335A , 36Ah. The picture above only can get in Thailand, not sure what options do I have in Malaysia. QUOTE(Roman Catholic @ Sep 27 2024, 04:31 AM) What is your vehicle's make & model ? Sounds like its a very rare imported vehicle. Usually it's batteries in the DIN series that comes with such design for the bottom battery clamp, and I hope that I am wrong, the smallest DIN 44 battery size that's available here, MAY NOT even fit into your battery compartment that may be smaller. Knowing the actual battery's dimensions will really help. Its the BYD Atto 3, not sure of the exact stock battery dimensions but the aftermarket ones in Thailand that confirms fits into the original clamp has these dimensions They also list down what other options available in Thailand but all the brands in the list im not familiar if they have it in Malaysia https://www.fastbatt.net/content/7911/เà¸...¹‰à¸‡-ฟรี

QUOTE(Roman Catholic @ Sep 27 2024, 11:24 AM) Sorry to break this to you, but the NS40ZL battery size memang tak ngam for your vehicle, cause the battery compartment in your vehicle is wider than the NS40ZL. Plus they are of different construction, while your vehicle requires an AGM battery, NS40ZL are RFB battery. Furthermore I suspect that your AGM battery may have the Standard size battery post, instead of the Small sized battery posts that's generally found in NS40ZL or EFM-M42L batteries. You have 2 options. 1 get it from SC or 2 go to Thailand. I doubt you can find any other battery company who is willing import in, your required battery make and size cause there isn't any volume. Even if there is a supplier for such a battery, the price is going to be steep. The stock battery is not AGM battery, that was just an example for thailand aftermarket battery. Anyway, a friend of mine today has had his Atto 3 12v kaput and called Bateriku, they changed it with the Astra 40B20L battery. According to the technician they have done quite a few Atto3's and they know a way to tie the battery down to the base despite using a regular design battery and still fits the stock battery cover This post has been edited by Boy96: Sep 27 2024, 10:34 PM
