Here my critic's about the m2p...
1. The camera cud be better, dont get me wrong, its not a bad camera per say....infact ita pretty good camera with enabling gcam.....but i feel its a slight downgrade from my previous redmi note 5 with 1.4microns sensor cams...
2. Theres no way getting around the the plastic backcover...it is better than policarbonate, i does looks good, looks flashy, but its still just plastic...it might have its own advantage like its noticebly lighter than even 4000mah redmi note 5...but still its again its plastic...no way getting around it....
3. The fast charger....hmm...yes i understand its takes alot off time almost 3hours for it to fullcharge the massive battery....but its non issue for me personally, because i still believe fast charger kills battery....so its not a deal breaker for me....at least personally...call me wierd but i stil charge my primary phone the oneplus 5t with a normal 2.0a normal charger from the oneplusone era.....i kept the dash shjt brand new in the box...
All the shortcomings above went away when suddenly i remember i have a bloody
5000mah!!! battery at my disposal...hahahaha pooowaaaaaaaaa!!!! Lolol

The screen pressing experience is bad. Sometimes it's unpressable. Sometimes it's bloody sensitive

It's real buggy too
The contacts, they are separated by social medias even though they are the same entry. But combined back after restart.
The DND, once enabled, the icon will be there at top right.
Won't disappear even when u disable DND.
Need a restart for it to go away
well, it's mid-range phones, it's meant to be at a certain price range and in order to achieve that, they had to cut some corners. life of a mid-range phone is to decide which cons you can live with lol!
and plastic cover to me is alright, back then, phones uses plastic covers too, especially when batteries are still removable.
why do u say it's a downgrade for the camera? like what's the downgrade? the picture quality? or the speed?
i have an almost similar perception with you about QC, as in i'm aware that QC will reduce the battery longevity in the long run, but i'd also like to be able to QC when needed. still, not a deal breaker to me.
the screen press/keyboard issue and buggy software is what i've read from the user's comments in gsmarena, this is what i'm worried most. as of now, XDA is still relatively in the early stage of cooking up a stable custom rom (LineageOS) for M2P.
to me, the buggy software is the only fence that stands in between me and swiping my card for a new phone.

almost got myself a M2P yesterday until i read the user's review...
now i'm contemplating between this phone or waiting for redmi n7p
