Today picked up an India Indian couple (not local Indian) from a hotel. Destination was Jalan Thambipillay.

Along the way, the guy gave me direction on how to get to the destination. When we reached Jalan Thambipillay, the lady got off, while the guy told me he was going to Nu Sentral. He further explained that he was new to that area, and needed me to give him a lift.

New to that area? He knew how to get from his hotel to Jalan Thambipillay. Nu Sentral was within walking distance.

I refused to give him free ride, and insisted to drop him off there.

KUALA LUMPUR: Kadar tambang yang dikenakan operator e-hailing (EHO) akan kekal kompetitif walaupun selepas pematuhan Lesen Vokasional PSV (Teksi/E-hailing) berkuatkuasa.

Menteri Pengangkutan, Anthony Loke Siew Fook berkata peningkatan kadar tambang tidak akan berlaku kerana ia akan menyebabkan para pengguna tidak akan memilih perkhidmatan tersebut.

“Syarikat-syarikat EHO sudah tentu perlu menawarkan kadar tambang yang berpatutan dan kompetitif kepada penumpang-penumpang mereka. Jadi saya tidak melihat bahawa ia (kadar tambang) akan berubah secara mendadak.

“Ramai yang mengatakan bahawa apabila kita (MOT) buat peraturan ini, maka kadar tambang itu akan meningkat. Itu adalah anggaran (andaian) apa yang dikatakan, tetapi ia tidak menjadi kenyataan.

“Kita harap EHO yang sudah disahkan selepas menjalani proses peraturan, maka kadar tambang itu mestilah berpatutuan. Kalau mereka tidak kompetitif, maka penumpang-penumpang tidak akan memilih perkhidmatan mereka,” katanya di Dewan Rakyat hari ini.

Beliau berkata demikian sebagai menjawab soalan tambahan daripada Mohd Shahar Abdullah (BN-Paya Besar) yang bertanyakan kaitan antara insentif kepada para pemandu e-hailing dengan kadar tambang yang ditanggung para pengguna.

Bermula 1 April hingga 30 Jun 2019, sebanyak 16,338 calon telah menduduki ujian teori PSV (Teksi/E-hailing) di mana daripada jumlah tersebut sebanyak 10,151 telah lulus dan layak memohon lesen PSV.

Malah, pihaknya turut menjangkakan peningkatan dengan lebih mendakak jumlah penglibatan pemandu e-hailing menjelang 12 Julai 2019 selaras dengan pengenalan kursus secara digital yang telah dijalankan bermula 3 Jun 2019 di pusat latihan yang telah diluluskan.

Well , these drivers have to work hard on peak hours and maybe crap should come out with better incentive structure to help drivers earn more ?

Ever heard the story from pax that upon moving the taxi, taximan cancel ping job and start meter? Last time foreigners always kena until I heard myself that this local makcik also kena this trick from taximan.
Oh,, they still worry... if your company is projected to lose 50% of income generated from the 25% commission of about 200k ehailing drivers... They not worry? really? Hehehe...

Rumor says Grab will delay till 30 July

Guys, what is the best way to approach the e-hailing insurance? Should we take with the regular insurance provider or should take with Grab?

At least 5 days a week ? I see Allianz has a better pricing than Etiqa , any recommendation on the insurance company?

Generally, I noticed this week fare is low!!! And until a trip come in that I cannot stand it anymore!!! Rm 6+tbb 11 from kayu ara to kl Sentral!!! 14 km!!!  How to justify??? Check with rider is it his show Rm 6? He said yes!!!! Cancel!!!

i got rm6+20 to KLIA from subang. the passenger still pay rm65 though. untung rm20 tbb n lesser commission too

Guys, may i know how much need to pay just to become grab driver?
plan to do it as part timer on weekend. Understand there is a new rules like psv test, medical check up and ehailing insurance coverage.
But what is actually the total cost needed to be spend before i am able to drive it?

I think Grab will reintroduce Hourly Guarantee  after 12th July.
Fromthe stat, only 20k drivers will be available from 200k drivers. Sure bungkus one. and grab hv to pay uber usd 2 billion in 2021.

if oni 10k, grab sure die. bungkus balik singapore. trip sentip wont good enough to attract drebars to start drive.

LHDN - Maybe Grab straightaway give yearly annual statement to IRB so the next Tax declare time you have the amount readily in your tax assessment to be tax...

Ehail Insurance - I pay RM150 for a 4 year car Axia value at Rm22K

PSV license renew fee - same like renew your driving license

Puspakom checks - Pay Rm70 for the yearly check... and we're worried... it's the repair and replacement of items and parts to be able pass puspakom test... eg; tyres, brakes, tints...

Anything I miss?
