Ya risky and tensioning, if accident kicked in, will be lewat to work. I am also not keen because cant make much in such limited time. Nowadays I tried my luck in the morning becoz go back time md sometimes cant get job. Like today only did 1 rm7 job in the morning.

There's too many agenda behind this matter. Uncle taxi, goverment and grab are playing their cards. Although grab is the one who might be in the tight spot.

Gomen was pushed by uncle taxis and somehow they need to fulfill their promises. Hence, all the demands by the uncle taxis were met. Puspakom, psv, etc. They are the real winner here. Uncle taxis will cast their vote on them on next pru while they squeeze money from psv, puspakom. They are not losing in this trade. Scared Grab angry? Nah they know grab is too soft. We only vent our anger in socmed.

In uncle taxis cases, the real agenda is to monopoly the market again. Regulations on e-hailing? They don't give a single mind about it. They knew with such implemantation, most of the drivers will be demotivated and stop driving. They even express their disappointment on the "1 year grace period" and demand that the implemantation should be done now. With less supply from Grab, they can get their precious customers back, crawling to them. Least, that's what they thought. Little did they know that some people mati2 don't want ride taxi and rather looks for other alternatives. In the end all that left is uncle taxis waiting on the roadside of LRT with nothing to blame on.

For Grab? No one will know what cards they're playing. They are sneaky bastards who will came out with a plan eventually. Giving you candies to atrract more lembus and slay them when they are ripe enough to harvest. Silently planning on how to make profit. They are like dandelion in the crack on the pavement. They might grew "beautifully" or die stomped by.

We lembus? Heh, we have our own agenda too. Part timers are out from this game since the moment MOT mention the regulations. Contemplating whether it is worth it to be part time lembu or not. Full lembus? Probably came out as the winner. Apa lah sangat amount and puspakom compared to the demand you will get when those part timers quit for good. Two week can cover that sum already. The only slight problem is the crap go out try to gain uncle taxis trust back and reform to myteksi 2.0. Just look at Justgrab implemantation. Moreover, we are the pawns of crap when they decide to shove our arse in squeezing profit.

Riders? They are the clueless one. They are like the bystanders caught between the "war". They might be stand far enought to not be smeared by the feces but they surely get the smell of it. Price hikes? Low demands? Forced to ride taxis and get cheated? Well they are the one who have a lot of choices in this matter. They can choose between cake, ice cream, durian or stale bread if they are clever enough.

In the end, everyone is looking for themselve. We are nothing but strangers to one another. As long as there are glimpse of opportunities, we will grab it. Kill or be killed, that's the harsh truth.

i was on SD n 'A fuc***g A'...n didnt get the job, whilst he was not even on AA n was just waiting for a trip to kl. he even ignored that job that i wanted..n it still didnt go to me..

I agree. Usually if i lepak around klcc during afternoon rush hour, i will get at least 1 premium ping to mont kiara or bangsar. Nowadays for 6 days  straight i did not get even 1 ping!!

Rating system is not good, as it emotionally affect us even not our fault.

Hard to get a car - 4 stars for drivers
Expensive - 4 stars for drivers
Traffic jam come slow - 4 stars for drivers
Stuck in traffic jam - 4 stars for drivers
Put wrong pup and driver cannot find him - 4 stars for drivers

Dafuq? They want to express their unhappiness toward grab but stars rating to drivers is all they can do. I hope grab don't show us the star ratings in future, or maybe change the rating system.

E-hailing always use price war to kill off taxi, after that when they are big enough then they become another taxi company.

South Korean system to be blame lah, the price macam too cheap compare to Japan. Back in Japan Uber cannot penetrate because the service cannot compete with Taxi driver, taxi driver wear glove and office attire with coat. Furthermore they don't accept tips and don't reject short trip.

Anywhere go also same haha. There's one point that the CEO guy said that catch my attention. Uncle taxis rough life is due to the taxis company sucking they dry. I think is the same with Malaysia. Although crap is no any better but at least we could come by. I feel bad for uncle taxis but hey, world is not going to stop with you but instead, you need to move forward.

Huhu I already signed up for my car a long time ago.currently using my car but the ping sucks. far pick up with low fare and have to wait longer time to get ping. In JB mycar demand is lower than grab.

Mind to share how much CR and how many weeks consecutively before grab took action?

And how bad is mycar pings compared to grab?

I started driving Jan 1, so I can share a bit of recent math with you

My initial goal was to drive 20 days in a month, each day target revenue RM 150 within 6 hours, so that should give me RM3k revenue in a month

Since I'm doing full Auto Accept, commission is 20%, so 3k minus 20% = RM2.4k

Average each day driving distance in 6 hours will be 220KM (including during trip and when not on trip). My car petrol consumption is about RM50+- for 320KM+-, depends on current petrol price also, but let's just call it RM50 for 320KM.

220KM times 20 days = 4400KM a month
4400KM divided by 320KM = 13.75 (lets just call it 14 times of put petrol)
14 times RM50 = RM700

TnG reload, since toll fee will be collected from passenger so it cancels itself out, so I don't count it.

I plan to set aside some money for rainy days and maintenance, so let's call it RM1k a month

So far the theoretical math works out to be:

Revenue = 3k
Cost for commission = 600
Cost for petrol = 700
Planned savings for rainy days or fixes = 1k

Net income = 3k minus 2.3k = RM 700

But of course real world math a bit different for example, I'm actually getting RM170 to RM190 total fares a day on 6 to 7 hours of driving, maintaining below 230KM driving distance a day. Petrol price also cheaper now.

Bonus and cancellation fee will not be deducted for commission.

So yeah, hopefully it's a good enough reference for you

ADDITIONAL INFO:
- We don't have car loans or housing loan
- My wife earns way more than me
- I quit my job because it took too much time away from spending with her, so doing Grab is perfect as I can spend more time with her at our choosing, and still not be totally broke ass
- If any decent job opportunity come along, I'll still go for it, because employer contribution for EPF is nothing to scoff at

Is is more profitable to drive long distance or short distance? As i plan to do it in labuan...a small island that stretch 15km apart only..

First grab send referral bonus for new driver that drive gc+ and 6s, now with this gc+ campaign... U know that more gc+ and 6s drivers is quitting bcos of the low fare and tb. Grab is feeling the pinch of losing premium drivers and cars.

Grab can say whatever but actions dun lie....

last time count by KM and the fare is on high side, now with this TB inconsistency, won't be surprise they all quit.

Let say MP slot per minute grab premium can get RM1 per minute, the system short pay them 15min, that is RM15 alone for the losses already. If u driving premium might as well hang the key.
