what is in the file document when received the notification to collect? is it the PSV cert JPJL2C?

my batch we all got back the folder with JPJL2C (PSV training cert), JPJL8A (medical cert), IC, Driving license copy with photo.

My story yesterday, ard 11am got a ping from wisma UOA2, 17th floor which is kind of weird, but then their destination is Ben's Independent Grocer, IPC, Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya.

Reached UOA but grab app problem connecting thus dragged for ard 20mins to online/offline, restart phone, make loops (chased away by guards), then surprisingly passenger still not yet cancel and i am able contact rider. They told me they are at mandarin hotel instead, and can wait for me. thought of hmm should i just claim my RM3. But then don't wanna stuck in KL city for the jam and short trips thus make myself there and pickup them.

Reach hotel, tourist from china. After confirming their name and destination, started my drive then they asked about how much if to airport and they plan to come back to hotel at 1pm by a booked hotel limo.

Lol less than one and a half hour plan go to mutiara damansara and comeback hotel, china tourists going to a gorcery shop so far, doesn't make sense !? i checked back with them the destination then they told me "independent something something" with a picture of dataran merdeka. They meant independent square and simply type in

Not able to change destination for some reason, asked them to cancel and proceeded to drive them to dataran merdeka, back to hotel and airport (they cancelled hotel limo)

Later that night going home picked up two pinoy ladies from sunway pyramid, asking if they can get some food before reaching their hotel. I recommended rock cafe coz its on the way and quite convenient. Since they don't have data, asked if i can wait while they tapao, and leaving their shopping stuff in my car. I am not in a hurry and last job before i reach home, so Yea why not. i dropped them while double parked, saw a car come out from legit parking nearby, parked my car and another car double park my initial space. So yeah, quite predictably watching them walking with foods then enter the wrong car with the driver confused was kinda hilarious

i honked my car afterwards and can see them LOL-ing while returning to my car, yet i still tease them asking don't you all feel scared when open the car door and realized all the stuff was gone lol Got some tips at the end of the trip

Hmm.. initially they just asked how much grab to aiport so i told them the actual fare RM65 + toll. Thus.. yeah that's how much i collected for airport

Well i might have set a bad reputation to other drivers for i have only thought about myself. But yeah, true that, i just thought i really don't mind dropping in and wait a few mins because they are going back to the hotel with no convenient near eating place at that hour, and without data, they cant book another ride if the eating there.

Another not so popular opinion, PSV teaches us to be "duta pelancongan" and that "customer service" thing. Just generally be courteous. Sticking tightly to GRAB rules just to make them earn more only, they can implement the "waiting time" feature, but they choose not to

I saw from fb group some driver posted they implement their own rule like RM1 per 1 minit or something which is damaging to everyone other than driver themselves.

As mentioned, fastest will be taking PSV outside and fork out RM200+ i heard still claimable till next month?

If follow Grab online PSV class, see video for 6 hours, book exam slot in Bangsar GRAB around a week later (i keep calling in CS because they did not confirm my exam confirmation until one day before) wait for 2-3 weeks result out, another week for official notification from grab, then 3 hours wait for PSV at JPJ. It's a very long manual process. But only pay Rm20 claimable + Rm5 parking for bangsar grab lol

you mean the invitation to register for exam or already register but no confirmation on the slot

They give me back the folder with the ori medical form, photo for psv, PSV training cert by grab forgot what name, photocopy of License. No need document to indicate you passed but you can always have a hard copy/ screenshot of the result.

After exam passed (checked from JPJ), then received sms from grab to check psv if i fail or pass, which i don't think meant anything. Bring the whole folder to JPJ queue for 3 hours pay RM20 and done less than 15 minute.

Anyone got a simplified summary of daily insurance vs e hailing insurance? Rm1.06 a day lets say u pay for 365 days also RM387 which i think less than annual e hailing insurance. Is it the coverage differ a lot ?

quite entertaining this forum now, one fella sounds like giving an offer no one can refuse and very very persistent on it, until say most grab driver are becoming like taxi drivers lol For that time wey... I also wonder if he got his ride eventually.

from the fb group there are ppl who share the JPJ JPJL8A Dates
1 october - new JPJL8A enforcement
15th october - last date for old JPJL8A form

so basically best you do it before 15th October else need fork up RM80 for new medical check up

SHould be any kiosk. i took from the kiosk at sunway last week. Bring along ic and PSV, thumb print verify then get 2 pieces.
