Proton or Perodua cars can just go a head, becoz after 7 years trade in value left 10k ~ 18k only even your car new like showroom car. Drive grab 2 year++ can get back your buy car cost ady.

The biggest impact will be the petrol subsidy withdrawn, estimates will be additional rm50++ weekly petrol cost for me. So if still rm0.80~rm1.00 per km lousy fare under hot sun in the weekend, i will only drive in the peak block to earn some pocket money enough.

Quite agree with the philosophy. U do grab, your car generates income. U not doing grab, your car generates expenses only. After 3 years u keeps your 50k car like new also rv left +-rm23k( >40%) when u trade in your car.

Another facts is after 5 years, car price 50k + bank loan interests + petrol + maintenance easily cost u over rm100k.

U drive grab maybe u can earned back 80% of overall cost or even untung after 3 years.

So the summary is if got a eligible car just go ahead drive the damn grab unless u r very kaya or budget free for living.

Becoz after 5pm the price goes very high. Even if they booked, they'll cancel after realise very expensive.

Some of them "jealous" becoz waiting there no customer. If u see taxi stop place with cone dun stop behind. they will try to block u going out. What happened to me was yesterday at bukit jalil lrt, becoz heavy rain i wan to drop my rider near to pondok so no choice have to stop behind a taxi. Soon i get back 2 back customer i wanna go out, there's a taxi come behind block me to reverse. In the rain i open car door to move the cone but i forget to tarik handbrake, so my car slide back a bit and my riders was cemas. I sempat to pull the handbrake, the taxi behind also get scared so reverse abit to let me out. Basah kuyub at the end.

Based on the posture of policeman in the pic, 80% makan suaping. Today near sunway monash got motor police patrol around. I just drop off passenger and take break at rock cafe. I got evp ady just dun wanna find any deal with the police. Feel weird if kena soal siasat even can lepas.
For driver not yet legal, dun stick the green grab sticker on your car if still wanna drive. Is quite hard to identity u doing grab as nowadays most of cars got phone holder attached to see map.

I sticked but later regret and removed. It's too obvious to tell all your neighbours and colleagues u r doing grab. Stick it only if u feel very "proud" being a grab driver.

Heavy rain yet again in kv, if grab doesn't release all drivers maybe fare will surge up 3~4x later after 5pm.

This is about the right strategy for partimer. Get 1-2 jobs then offline fly to office in the morning, enough to cover a premium lunch money ady. Another 2~3 jobs otw back evening to cover the petrol and car installment/maintenance. If want more money, drive 2 hours then sd to home in the evening.
Now forced AA so hard ady if used up 2/2 sd, even get fat trip far away from home i wont go in the evening. No point end up going home 10pm + not yet eat dinner and tired, later health gg got money also no use.
The lousy avoid thingy are useless, avoid bukit bintang still kena sultan ismail, avoid sentul still kena jalan kuching, avoid kepong still get sri damansara.Its within 5km beside only what's the difference?

I also morning no drive ady, last time only sd mid valley around okr to get rm10+ jobs else tend to get late. Those gateway/kerinci lrt/ um job rm7 jobs hard to take becoz the heavy traffic around bangsar and federal highway after 7am.

In some bad days i also go back empty car, no harm go back rest earliar. I always go round 2 loop at mid valley, if can't get job in peak hours means too much supply ady, i'll go bangsar south try luck if still no job i'll go back no wait. If lucky can get high surged near job to kuchai/oug, after drop off i'll come back to midvalley to try luck another round.

Pavilion strictly no go after went there few time as grabdriver. Klcc still go in the weekend but 60% i'll cancel if CR still low.

Looks like grab giving time till 30nov19, still 1 &half mth to go. Got friend just received evp yesterday, the number barely reach 45k only. So after 01dec19 onwards there will be estimated only 60k legal grab drivers on the road.

For bkt lover (non halal) no need to go klang, after drop off klia can go to kanvas soho cyberjaya. Shop beside a&w. soup taste not bad, 7.5 rating. Easy parking and nice rest environment.

Noticed the grabrider apps now no more showing "driver shortage, regulations" message and no more grabcar option(previously at the bottom selection). Even super heavy rain in kv yesterday evening, the surged doesn't hike up like 2~3x. Guess most of the drivers now all full force coming out in peak hours, got sticker/psv or not hantam jer lah before grab disactivates your acc by 01Dec.
Dropped off tbs yesterday evening, there are few jpj officers jaga at gate A and gate C but never do any checking, just urging cars to move into outer lane if jammed up the road. So i think it's still safe to drive for now.

The good things of MA is u can open up options when in sd mode cannot get job when near to destination ady. The bad thing is u will reluctant whether want to accept a "so so" job or not, ignored then follow up by a "lagi worst" job then end up kena locked...
