Item 6 - correct nothing is permanent but at least IF increase charges will not higher than Step premium.

Item 7 - Can you recommend other investment-linked with 20 years term (52 years old), trying to survey seems like ILP only cover 70,80,100 years old.

Online Manulife I found out that offer Life + CI options. Other Online insurance providers only life coverage only. If you know other online providers with Life + CI, please inform me  smile.gif

I had been proposed a 'Legacy' cum Life Proposal from AIA to cover up to RM 500k for Death / TPD.

annual premium about RM 7500 with a 20 years payment.

maturity at age 70, coverage until age 70.

apparently upon maturity, i will also be entitled to an estimated Boost / Bonus payment of around RM 0 to RM 450k, on top of whatever inside my Cash Value at that time.

should i survive until maturity (age 70), i will be able to get potentially RM 450k + cash value of between RM 50k to RM 250k.

in between there is extra coverage of overseas CI of RM 250k.

good plan? kindly advice.
*
what is coverage of overseas CI?

IF GE SLPM can get
coverage till age 99
other benefit such as accident death additional 100%
accident death in public conveyance - additional 200%
booster reward at age 70

Hi all ladies gents and sifus,

I'm new and would like to get some advise on which insurance product in market suits my purpose best, in terms of insurance company and term or ILP comparison.
I am looking for a min 500k with 250k CI up to age 80/ 90, male age 31 non-smoker.

Thank you very much.
*
Halo friend, if you really "new" to insurance .... medical card is your 1st priority.

Anyway here is the offer assuming you pass 31 age birthday and working as office management .
Different occupation affect the premium.

GE Great Eastern SmartProtect Legacy Max
Premium Payment Term - 30 Years
Cover till age 99
RM383.35 monthly // RM4600.20 yearly
RM500K - Death & TPD
Critical Illness 45 - RM250,000.00
Waiver included (TPD) - for premium RM4600.20 (very important!)

Accident death - additional 100% x (RM500,000 Plus additional sum assured)
Accident death in public conveyance - additional 200% x (RM500,000 Plus additional sum assured)

Booster reward at age 70. lump-sum RM60K
Roughly RM100K+ projected cash value at 52 years old

Info above are not official quote. Will need more info and real name for that.

PS : ... get medical card 1st .. if really NEW sweat.gif

If your medical card with investment link then get your agent to check for you.

You may refer to your policy as well. Can roughly know how much cash value "if" is ILP.

Hi everyone. I need some advise. I currently have a very old ILP plan with Prudential. The medical coverage is low at 225K and I have to co-pay 10% of the bills. only 80K life/CI. Paying 230 a month

I am thinking of either up-ping the medical or completely switch to newer and better plans. I actually don't need the life insurance. More concerned with medical, CI and TPD.

May I know your advises? Thanks

Also, I read that as we age the insurance premium goes up? Means if I'm at age 50, 60 and above i have to pay more and more? Does it work this way for ILP too? I asked my agent and she told me that she cannot estimate what I would be paying on my later years. Is that true? because I saw someone seem to provide rough calculations...somewhere

Thanks for your help
*
Usually ILP premium fix. But also depending the premium paid vs coverage in policy. Also affected by the fund performance.

Agent shd be able to give you a quote and estimate the projection of cash value.

Hi everybody,

I had an AIA A-lifelink plan previously and I got it when I was 29yo. This current plan has RM50K Death and TPD. RM125K Early CriticalCare and an A-Plus Med Plan 150 medical card of RM100K/year. The premium I serve is RM3000/year.

Just recently, I asked for a new plan from AIA agent and I got the following:

1. Current age: 34yo non-smoker;

2. A-Lifelink 2. Death and TPD: RM100K;

3. 39 Critical Illness Benefit: RM100K;

4. 92 Early Critical Illness: RM100K;

5. Medical Card A-Plus Health Plan 200: RM1.5M/year.

6. Premium of RM6200/year.

I have since get married and are currently supporting my wife and 1 baby. Would like to know if this plan reasonable for the costs and if any feedback. I was hoping to get a plan under 5000/year actually

Thanks
*
I believe this is ILP medical card.
You may ask the projection cash value after 20 years.

And try get other quotations. It won't be 100% same terms name & condition. At least you learn more.

Hi,

I am an existing AIA A-Plus Med policy holder.

My insurance agent is suggesting that I switch to the new AIA A-Plus Health plan to boost my annual limit.
I looked up the AIA portal and found an add-on plan called the A-Plus MedBooster which boosts the annual limit as well (minus the Health Wallet thing).

However my agent says MedBooster is no longer offered and she can't sell me this add-on. Is this true?
*
My friend just upgrade A-Plus Health Plan150 last month and found not sufficient after some compare.
He decided to keep exiting policy for 6 months and signed new one with lower premium and coverage he needed most.

I did some finding with my AIA friend. This is newly launch product.
If you happy will exiting plan can add on this A-Plus Health. I'll suggest you take at least Plan200.

Because Plan150 only RM1M per lifetime for Out-patient Kidney Dialysis and Cancer Treatment.

Plan info & price all in AIA website PDF here

I called up AIA and was told A-P MedBooster is still available and I can walk in and buy. My agent told me it's no longer being offered which is strange.

She's pushing APH and wants me to buy that under a new basic policy.

AIA told me I can switch to APH without cancelling my basic policy but AIA have to offer me this deal directly. I checked my Account on the AIA portal and it appears I have that offer.
Yeah agree. Plan200 minimum.
*
If your policy is about time to upgrade. Take this opportunity to compare.

Sep10, my friend paid company A 13K annual for himself and 2 kids. After agent approach him add in APH we help him policy review.
Last week he signed company G 14K annual for himself, 2 kids and wife. Previously can't afford for wife. With better coverage.

Anyhow just a suggestion. Don't take too long to compare. Risk doesn't strike after you ready sweat.gif

Is there an insurance policy here in Malaysia that can cover your medical cost and also cover your critical illness even after you do Reconstruction surgery to your bone outside Malaysia? Say Genioplasty and Jaw Surgery?

I asked two agents, one from AIA and one from Prudential, they wont cover. But im not sure if other insurance company can cover
*
If your surgery to "bone" mean by Genioplasty and Jaw Surgery, I believe most of the Insurance company standard medical card not cover.
Because standard medical card don't cover "plastic surgery/ make over / or in mandarin 整容".

For GE, Genioplasty and Jaw Surgery is face surgery. If something’s happen, medical card just cover for the medical fees which is medical necessary ..not the "face surgery cost"

If you add in GE lady care plan then got cover for the facial reconstructive surgery due to Accident

What I mean is post-surgery and say I got intestine problem few months later and admitted to the hospital, they won't cover the medical cost. as I did a surgery outside the country few months before. Is this true for every insurance company? I confirmed with AIA and Prudential, they won't cover the medical bills.
*
Depending you are looking for new medical card right now or asking for your exiting medical plan.

For new. you must declare what surgery you have done & submit documents required.

more or less all insurance company have the similar policy for this case. Not cover medical cost cause by previous surgery (before the new medical card in-force)

if medical fees which is medical necessary due to accident .. then still yes.

no matter you get new policy from GE or other company .. the waiting period is 4 months (120 days).

You have to keep exiting policy active while paying for the new one.
Because medical coverage waiting period is 120 days. No ham to keep it till 6 months just in case.
You may ask your agent to explain further.

for the weight BMI issue, as mentioned by lifebalance & CK . Proof and appeal. blush.gif

Personal accident: 60k
Critical illness waiver: Yes
TPD waiver: Yes

Therefore any input/recommendations from any agents in here would be highly appreciated. I'm only interested in medical plan, not life insurance and etc.

if exiting plan medical coverage big enough .. try ask your agent possible to extend or not.

buying new medical card at this age confirm cost a lot and need medical checkup.

I got the following quote from AIA 3 days back. Not sure if the agent is pulling a fast one on me.

Age: 40

ILP
Death only: RM 10k. No TPD, CI.

Medical Card:
Per year RM 1.5 mil
Lifetime: no limit
Enforced until age 80.

Monthly payment: RM350. I know 40 isnt really young but to get rm350/month sure seems high especially with no TPD and CI.
---
A little background: initially I just wanted med card but agent told me that it will jump in price very significantly at age 50. So he introduced me to this ILP. However, I do feel it is pretty high, but maybe this is market price. Just thought of getting feedback here.
*
Nothing is perfect.
Everything is cost.
and yes. ILP to help maintain the premium cost. Provided fund return strong enough.

What is your goal for medical card now? Cheapest in premium or better in coverage?
You got no chance to change once RISK strike in.

You may ask for more quote to compare.
Occupation? Smoker?

for sample I use GE can quote you similar cost. Medical policy sustain till age 80
- BSA RM16K, TPD & CI waiver
- 1.32M annual no lifetime limit
- BSA + Death benefit increase to RM70K at age 60.
and others ..
