Both :

Next birthday - 31
Non Smoker

Part Officer
Housewife

Minimum coverage at least 100k
Might think double coverage if monthly payment affordable.

Currently, outstanding balance for housing loan is RM625000. Plan to have life insurance for the same amount.
I will turn 41 next month and smoker. What will be the estimated premium per month? Please recommend if there are other options as well. Thanks.

Halo friend,

Depending how you want to plan. Various options

Short term coverage, say example cover till age 60+ with 2 result.
- 1st nothing left by that time - premium lower.
- 2nd got cash value if your surrender by that time. The more you want, higher the premium

Long term coverage, say sustainable till age 99.
Also depending what you want at the end.
Cash value just enough to sustain, high sum assured.
OR high cash value + high sum assured.

All depend on your budget.

Another choice short short term plan. Term Life insurance. Let say cover 5 years.
About RM370 monthly . RM633K LIFE TPD
Is cheap, but what happen 5 years later? Housing loan settle? If yes then ok loh blush.gif

Anyhow, you still need to think about illness. This can cause you trap into no income but dept paying situation.
It is better to consult agent for better view on planing.

Hi all sifus. Need some advice on this. I’ve got a quote from an agent for below:

CI: 300k
Life: 100k
PA: 100k/10k (major/minor)
B&R: 200
Medical card: 1.3mio annual

So all this in about RM350/month. Projected sustainability till 60yo. I wanted to get another one with sustainability up to 70/80yo And it goes up to 5xx and 7xx respectively.

Are the premium on the ok side? And should I actually slug out the higher premium for the higher sustainability or hang on up to 60yo first and review it periodically when cash flow improves?

Btw I’m 32/M and non smoker. The coverage are quite ok for my current debts and I have some other term life that’s ongoing.

Halo friend,

Is good to have intention for better coverage.
Medical plan is the basic protection.

My opinion always get sustainable medical policy till 80yo with no lifetime limit for kidney/ cancer.
It is medical card, so we got to ensure hospital bill worry free till end of day.

If you plan to review by age 60, cost of insurance sky high by that time. You may try ask for quote same coverage medical plan for Male 60yo as estimation.

Base on you basic info, monthly RM350 still can get R&B200 with medical 1.32M annual sustainable till age80. But need to adjust life/ CI coverage.

You can top up Life & CI coverage in near future when you have better financial by getting another LIFE policy.

Looks okay, cover many sectors. If this is the only policy you have in hand.
You can check your illustration table, roughly can sustain till what age base on X (low return) & Y (high return)
Also check the chosen fund pass performance for estimation.
You may ask your agent to show you as well.

Life cover not enough if you have housing loan or other commitment.

You just sign up? or old policy?

Anyhow, base on your basic info.. same amount you can get same sum assured with higher medical fees and no lifetime limit for kidney/cancer.
And no co-insurance, plus 45 Critical illness. Sustainable till 70yo both scenario X & Y.

Thanks for your great reply tyenfei.

Yeah i also think life not enough but what is enough enough? Is it better to top up my life or buy like MLTA?

Oh yeah this is an old policy. What is that illustration table all about? any sample? when you talk about sustainable does that mean am i able to pay till 70?

I think the policy been updated to 45CI on its own if i am not mistaken...when you said same amount does it apply to all insurance nowadays or only certain insurance has it?
*
as other suggest, enough or not base on your commitment.
It is better to consult with agent. Open your book and plan in order.

sustainable mean with the same premium, a table illustration with estimated investment cash value can last till what age.
(not guarantee, anyhow good enough to predict)

I use the same amount you paying, calculate with GE SPE3 new policy.
You may ask other quote to compare.

Further to previous message, is there better protection out there provide by other plan or insurance company if I replace current policy with same Rm240/month?
Thank you.

Suggest you check how much medical fees, for lifetime or renew annual. Any cap for kidney dialysis/ cancer outpatient treatment.
And roughly plan can sustain till what age.
Most importantly ensure got waiver rider.

Then only you decide need to upgrade (if available) or get new plan better.
