I totally understand where you're coming from. Also, from many of the replies in this thread it seems that it's 'common' for them to do things that are not within the job scope; that's why their initial reactions would be to unplug/disconnect any recording mechanism around the vehicle where possible.. Also I disagree with your statement about there being 'no professional way of doing things when it comes to something that involve our hands'. There is the COMPETENT way of doing it. That is all that matters.. Anyway, you can't prevent trolls or haters, but they will always be the minority especially when you're doing something proper and according to SOP.. And unfortunately for a third world country, we have to be realistic, there's possibly more sinister reasons for disconnecting the dashcams rather than for good genuine reasons..

Also that view is akin to giving someone a slap on wrist for say stealing something, do you think anything will be learned from it? Should never condone such actions, it's for the greater good.. The possible/potential harm that can be caused is far greater.. You have more to lose from a 'disconnected' carcam than having a carcam that's recording the workers while they work.. Not all (keyword) car owners are that 'cunning' and have the time to try and do something with bad intentions against the workshop.. No offence but I see a slight hint of hypocrisy too, imagine if far more serious things happened to your vehicle while they are up to their 'usual practices'.. If everyone were to take this particular view, then if shit happens to the owner's vehicle, despite any recordings available in his vehicle, he should then just take it on the chin and move along especially if there is no other proof besides your word against the workers' words.. The irony of getting a dashcam in the first place..

Anyway, just my two cents..
