Cant really made out from the picture or in the facebook but is it apparently the hacker asking the owner for the tac code to transfer the owner money into the hacker account?
And the hacker even challenge the owner to made a police report?
I also not sure if the account belongs to commentor or what? but in the comment got ppl tell him to report bnm.
Agreed I think the news about the hackers selling the card numbers are of concern. Problem is we do not know if it only affects debit / prepaid cards or also affects credit cards.
If it is from the tape backups then is it safe to assume that cards issued after November 2017 are safe.
If not then from when does the data leak occur. I think CIMB has all these info from the data loss and also from the slew of people affected. They can easily infer what is going on but they are not telling
when we backup a database, All tables in database is included. Cimb obviously lied for stating selective data not in the backup tapes.
But better change password too, who knows the backup tapes got cimbclicks login info.

The damn issue is.....CIMB wanna charge us if we want them to replace the card. It ain't cheap.
They don't want admit and cause too much troubles to everyone. You can see in cimb fb. More cases are happening and all complaints from angry customers. I think cimb even turn off pages rating. I cant rate.
Adoi, we have the author himself here LOL I read your 2 articles
So in both articles, you imply that old passwords cannot be longer than 8 chars? That means less than 8 chars also can? That's pretty extreme ler ... no minimum length ka? And confirm nobody ever could create passwords > than 8 chars in the past?
In the first article you said "old passwords do not support or contain special characters" Then in your 2nd article you said "old password consists of letters, numbers and symbols(just not a requirement)" Got or not?
TIA
nobody care about nlt, his article clickbait cuz no traffic
From what i realized, first it was paypal. Then there is a TAC spam and some unknown stranger hackers act pity ask help to give him tac. Then poof~ money gone. Better transfer away all the money. Though is good to be kind, its not suitable in this society.
Brhati2 dgn panggilan yg tdk dikenali.. sy baru shj trkena ptg td menerusi akaun cimbcliks. Bila semak baki akaun hnya tnggal rm20.. Utk makluman, sy tdk mmberikn TAC no spt yg diminta mnyebabkn si pelaku marah. Beliau telah brtndak mmndahkn semua duit simpanan sy ke akaun ASTRO milik sy dn kawan sy, Azad Azmeer Aznan (sy ada mmbantu beliau utk mmbayar bil astro beliau menerusi cimbclicks sy) Harap phk CIMB dapat mmbantu mnyelesaikan masalah sy ini.
Good summary. CIMB is really hopeless in this situation.....
Then cimb risk management 1. deny everything 2. get some unknown tech journalist write articles support cimb 3. say this is a norm 4. blame customer 5. blame paypal
Same thing happen to my wife but this time on Bank Rakyat. Receive whatapp at night but my wife straight away block. Morning around 7am received multiple sms said payment has been made.
I've been using cimb for almost 10 years. I really liked their old clicks platform. An ex colleague told me she had money missing from her account few years ago and don't trust CIMB. At the time I dismissed her as not careful. Now I'm so worried I have already transfered out all my money and updating my edividend for my trading account.
Cimb also my 2nd main acc. Old customer and cimb completely lost my trust altogether.
It's okay if they made a mistake. At least rectify it. They seem like slumber. Usually banks that have security breach would tighten up their whole security and actually improve.
and use so many free plugins for their service. I also can replicate this survey since im a designer. So i veli skeptical and refuse to fill.
