Btw guys, in app now there's a bug / maybe promo that's quite worth it if you're using GrabFood.

The rewards for GrabFood are:
RM5: 590 points (0.84 cents/pt)
RM8: 920 points (0.87 cents/pt)
RM10: 700 points (1.43 cents/pt)
RM15: 1690 points (0.89 cents/pt)
RM20: 2370 points (0.84 cents/pt)

As you can see, the RM10 voucher is an outlier, and if you spend using GrabPay and redeem this voucher you're effectively getting a 28.5% cashback.

It's not a bug.
There's a strike through; could be time limited promo.

What's the maximum amount I can transfer to a GrabPay user? Since MBB will cease its e-wallets benefits from 8th onward, I plan to reload and transfer some to my sister as she is in-charge to book for my dad's rides to hospital.

Couldn't find the transfer limit but I'm guessing it should be parked under the daily transaction limit of RM1000.

Can’t find a clear answer, posting this again (specifically for 2 cards Premier)

1) GrabPay Credits vs GrabPay Credit Card
Other than CB for certain credit cards during specific days, any reasons to top up max before 7th?

2) MCC/ Merchant description
So far I’ve only been using GrabPay Credits, and transaction posted as GrabPay Ecom SSL. Just wondering, for credit card, will it be the same, or it is posted as ā€œdirectā€ spending at the specific merchant, ie posted as Coffee Bean etc? I think if posted directly, will definitely still get CC points.

Some articles mentioned that direct CC not affected like Grab and Fave, but just want to confirm this

From my understanding, at least for MBB perspective, directly charge to Grab should not have impact.
Only if you top up to GrabPay e-wallet, you may not have the cash back or reward points.

Grab and GrabPay use different description and MCC by the way.
Not sure about Fave since Fave is merely passing the transaction to the saved credit card like Grab (not GrabPay).
What is the MCC for Fave?

Have limited CC statements now, I will check tonight again.
Not sure about the MCC for Fave, but I manage to find one spending on Fave posted as Fave MY. So I guess, Fave will be affected too if it's all posted under Fave spending. Hopefully Grab is safe

The same thing also impacted on UOB YOLO at least for Grab related transaction.
The best way is to test the water yourself.

The TS has more or less disappeared since a month ago & peeps here have more or less used this thread to discuss about GrabPay in general.

i do hope we all start to share merchant that accept grabpay like merchant that accept amex so we all can be benefited from it.

i will start off with:

1. Bar BQ Plaza
2. MyeongDong Topokki
3. Tealive
4. Murni
5. 11street/PrestoMall
6. Boat Noodle
7. Taiwan Spicy Noodle House
8. Zao
9. Aroi Mak Mak
10. The Alley
11. Momento CafƩ

Appreciate others can look back at their payment history to check the merchant name that you have paid for and share here.
