Obviously you hv high commitment if you take the loan.

Bank knows.

Can't omit PTPTN payment.

It won't matter if the term changes in ccris, it is still a ptptn loan. It is even more obvious if you never paid at all as it can be seen as 10,30, or even 100 months unpaid. I think bank negara requested to stop approving loans to people who don't pay ptptn, though I believe some banks do not enforce this strictly as they still need to cari makan.

If your ccris ptptn shows 0 outstanding, it's likely that your DSR is too high due to too much loans or pay too low, or they just don't think you will be a good customer due to type of job or whatever and just use ptptn as excuse to reject you

Just cleared my PTPTN last month using KWSP, and check CTOS just now and still have not cleared that amount even after 15th. Do I need to wait 12 months? Want to apply credit card and travel next year.

Hi all, recently I'm trying to apply for a housing loan and the banker said I had a personal loan instead of PTPTN loan (the only loan I have so far).

Hence, I had checked my CCRIS report and noted that my PTPTN loan had stated as "other term loan /financing" instead of "education loan". I had asked the Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) on this matter but they asked me call to PTPTN branch as they had nothing to do with the info stated in CCRIS report.

However, PTPTN said they did not face this kind of issue before and no solution provided by them.

I told the banker my situation and they suggest me to reschedule my PTPTN loan so that it will update the CCRIS to the correct term. But I try to avoid to reschedule my loan because PTPTN officer did not recommend me to do so since my repayment is consistent and no delay outstanding.

May I know is there any method to change the term shown in the CCRIS report?

Really frustrated in this situation now. Is there anyone who had came across this kind of situation before? bangwall.gif

You pay on time? If so then you shouldn't have any issue to apply housing loan.

How much is the property you be purchasing? Yes the property price can be a factor too

I got few clients still paying their PTPTN but on time, and the banker have no issue approving their loan. They be like 27 - 30+ years old then when they bought condo or rumawip from me.

Some clients has bad PTPTN record, missed 1 or 2 months and the bank rejected their application.

Yes I'm a real estate agent...

your response still relevant in general, just not to ts specifically.
I find it odd too that RHB has this weird request for their loaners.
Even if ts indeed has a personal loan, why would it matters unless he has poor payment history or reached his maximum salary limit?

This would be 1 of the cause for loan reject, as per you said even if it's a personal loan and if the payment on time, the buyer wouldn't having any issue to apply a housing loan. Unless the buyer's commitment already swallowed like 60% above(This is what banker taught me) of their monthly income especially those earn below 4k, there even if they paid on time but since their DSR already burst that also a reason for their loan be rejected.
