My job require me to work in front of PC for very long hours daily, at the end of the day, my eyes is very dry and pain. Most probably due to eye strain.

Hence i am looking to purchase a glasses to protect my eyes a bit

Any of you are in the similar situation as me? Mind sharing with me what glasses you bought and how is the experience? And also share with me how many % of the bluelight been blocked, from your lens. Thank you

By the way, I found this video quite interesting when it comes to explaining the differences between a computer glasses and a blue light filter glasses.

both computer glasses and blue light filter glasses doesn't protect eyes. they are just marketing gimmick, there's no scientific source to back them up.

computer glasses initially was design to protect from CRT monitor, but now no people are using CRT monitor, everyone is using LCD or LED monitor.

blue light filter is just something everyone said good, even Apple product also have blue light filter, and many doctors recommend it ... but I don't think there's any scientific fact behind it.

just my 2 cents.

There is scientific fact that blue light suppress melatonin production which can lead to reduced sleep duration and sleep quality especially if exposed to blue light hours before sleep

But it is easier to install apps or set the screen color index to skew more to the yellow side spectrum to reduce the amount of blue light exposure

I do aware many universities and health institute said that.

but like those health trend happen every year ... all these theory doesn't convince me.

so even though I'm a science guy, I still have doubt about this blue light affect sleep theory.

just my 2 cents

I notice macular degeneration in younger age group nowadays, and the only reason we can think of is due to all the gadgets light. I am using lenses that can cut most of the high energy short wavelength, which i hope can protect my eyes when playing my mobile phone.
