this is my second week here... quite terrible... till now i still cant access to anything.
everyday go there watch other team member do "DATA ENTRY".

hi cristiano7mu, seems you're quite tense up doing nothing over there, probably they just merge with GBM. But once it officially started I believe you have no time to relax, for every back end do have their target, which is daily volume & RPH (rate per hour), I think it's applicable to HSS as well.

not tense up.... is bored...
ya since then i'd been ot almost everyday.

I'm from Spore process, last year transfer from call center, almost 1 year already. Plan to apply lateral transfer again, if can new migration, that will be the best. I'm facing the same problem too, take some time to get my gwis swipe card & hub id, during the first week my job just sitting there & observed how others do Data Entry etc etc.
At call center no such thing happen, I get aspect phone id & LN setup during my 1 month class training, so by the time we start on floor, everything ready, so after a month we start taking call already... so cristiano7mu, which process are you, GBM???

I've been following a bit of here and there for this thread.

I notice some people use GSE or HSBC. Erm let me get this right, GSE is a subsidiary of HSBC right? So is their HR the same as HSBC? Or 2 separate entity.

Why not apply directly to HSBC?

Sorry I'm just a bit confuse.
*
nope, GSE stands for (Global Support Executive)- it's a job position, whereas HSBC is company name. For your info, HDPM & HSBC Malaysia is different entity, HDPM is a data centre which is also subsidiary of HSBC Group. Hope my explanation solve your question..

May I know what is the requirement for call center post or data entry post?  how about the salary range?
*
There's no specific requirement as training will be provided.....salary wise, depends on which process you're in...

awkward hours? like how? 12pm to 9pm? or 9pm to 6am? if those hours, i would suggest not to take it, i'm having 6am to 3pm shift recently, having hard time waking up at 4. crazy stuff...
*
yup, first time difficult to adapt...after 3 mth should be in order base on my own exp working under US hr (permanently nite shift). It's odd working at nite time, come back the next morning, sleeping, get up in the evening, prepare to go working when everyone back fr work enjoying the good nite sleep. I'm struggling at work place at this hr....huh sad.gif

eh i thought u're now in hss? how come doing US process? which floor r u working? 3rd floor? sitting on the first row on the left of the door? u never think of a lateral move to other process since u're doing permanent nite shift? but tomorrow will be my last day for morning shift.

Added on May 6, 2010, 8:06 pm
No, what I told you abt US process is last 2 years already, currently in Spore process (normal off hr) but everyday OT, plan for lateral since beginning of the year, apply but no reply at all. I'm not really like my dept so much since the first month I step into the dept, huh...Now even worse lar as  AMO & senior resigning/transferring to other dept ....so we all suffer...number of staff decreasing day by day, workload become more & more. Right now I want to be chow from here since lateral move no hope lor......  sad.gif

I think no matter which process, they're hiring...I can't do anything right now, applying but it's like not applying at all...our application is like 'disappear', this is the 2nd time I apply, both no reply, I'll give up applying for lateral for I know it will be the same..no point applying, right???

actually, it's not fair to extg staff which serve the co for yrs yet they get the same salary as newbie....I heard processing staff will get 1.9k for newbie instead of 1.6k previously. imagine extg staff need to work for how long to get 1.9k (salary revised once a year only). Unlike HSS & GBM every half year salary revised, for newbie 2.1 after 1 yr get will be more than 2.3k already, not too 'sit tai' compare to other back end process.....

but just a note to anyone, working nightshift really a hell... i wouldnt recommend, unless u're vampire, sleep when u see the sun then only go to work when u see the moon. but u will have more time to do things that requires you to do it on normal working hours, from govt to private. even shopping also can.
*
yup, night shift like hell & I actually need 3 month 2 adapt work at nite sleep at daytime...(first 3 month I can't sleep during daytime & after start to adapt night shift, when comes to day off, I have insomnia at night, the next day suffer with migraine (take 8 tablet of panadol in one day still cannot recover, the pain continue the next day.....huh rclxub.gif that's my experience working at night. I hardly do anything during weekday as by the time I wake-up already 4pm, so I'll wait until my off day then do everything that need to do including shopping. After I change to normal shift hr, again have to adapt to new timing....so, I will never work in night shift ever.....so guys if you have choice never choose to become zombie... smile.gif

yup, 3 mth bonus, not applicable here, if under business development 6 sigma, maybe (performance bonus)....salary revise every 6 month (but not applicable to all process), actually the 6 month is accreditation but only applicable to HSS & GBM, probably call centre supporting (Can/US), as I got it in my previous process (US call centre)....

Lol, damn it, we all got the same low OFFER!
why is it so much diff from what I've heard and see?>
I actually find the post at partimepost.com

the people who recommend me to go there actually stated there those allowance (language, shift, incentive) would hit RM500-600

huhuhu, RM200++ seems like a scam ...
*
yup, it's true the allowance can hit up to RM500-RM600, depends on which dept are u. For HSS & GBM, got higher basic plus allowance (basic is 2.1k + allowance), for call centre, if you're in trilingual (Canto, mand & eng), the sal is (basic+language allw +skill allw +night shift allow).

the recruitment agency just told me that hsbc offers a permanent night shift job which is (global support executive -trilingual support taiwan/hong kong?) Can anyone clarify about this? 6pm-3am? how big chance of getting this position?
*
is it call centre or back end? If call centre is 24/7 (that need trilingual support asian cust that migrate to Can/US). Do clarify with the recruitment agancy. So far not only call centre, there's new migration doing payment also 24/7 supporting HK, never heard there's 6pm-3am shift working hr job here, unless new migration....

Hi...I have an interview on 22/7/10 Thu at Cyberjaya.

is it if i have an interview at Cyberjaya means i have to work in Cyberjaya office if i successfully get the job?

or I can choose to work in KL office?
*
You can't choose working location unless the position offered based in KL or both (then maybe you can tell the interviewer you prefer working in KLC)...for you info if call centre then 100% in Cyberjaya whereas if back end process can be either KLC/Cyberjaya, depends on position they offer. KLC only back end process no call centre.

Interview location doesn't indicate which location you work, some interview in Cyberjaya but work in KL or vice versa...

I went there before also, the interviewer told me either work in Cyberjaya / KL branch, near Bursa Malaysia there.

But I think GSE workplace will based on Cyberjaya, not very sure though.
*
GSE (Global Support Executive), just a job title, meaning that no matter you work under call centre or back end still GSE...if call centre the 100% sure based in Cyberjaya for KLC no call centre only back end process. If you can choose working location, then the position offered in 2 location either Cyberjaya/KLC. Then of course you can choose based on you preference. But if the position only offered in Cyberjaya, then you based in Cyberjaya whereas if the position offered in KLC, then you based in KLC..that's about it...hope I answer your question biggrin.gif
