Ok my UPDATE:-

I purchased the HTC Touch II for RM1650. IT came with everything in the box, the 1BG SD card + an additional 2GB SD card, screen protector, t-shirts & a FREE IPOD Shuffle!!!!

05 March 2008 - The HTC Touch is now retailing at RM 1,688. It comes in four colours and carries 256MB of ROM and 128MB of RAM and features a new virtual keypad that allows for one-finger typing on the screen. A 1GB microSD card is also included as a part of the package.

after installed active sync, do i need to restart pc?

p3300 or touch????!!

both are priced at almost the same...

yes, it will ask you to restart your pc.

go for p3300 as its has GPS + Wifi which touch doesnt have.

i had restarted the pc.. and reinstall the active sync..

when i plug in, it does show "window mobile device"

its necessary to install microsoft outlook?

yea but touch has doubled ROM/RAM capacity compared to artemis..

is the ROM/RAM capacity a crucial factor??

ah.. missed 1 thing.. it ddint prompt me to restart pc

Hahaha lulz. The recommended retail price for HTC Touch II was slashed! RM1,688 instead of RM1999. OMG lucky me!

what i found is.. they use htc touch 1 and upgrade the ram & rom..

coz the code is still known as elf instead of elfin

anyone know about using active sync in xp?

pls go to setting > Connections > USB to PC [ ] Enable Advanced network functionality

Vista = disabling
XP = enabling

hope its help.

im use vista = enable = working

im use xp = enable = nothing happen
xp= disable = connecting/connected = critical communication cannot be establish , something like that

anyway.. how;s the quality of playing movies on the touch?? fps?

wats the largest capacity of mem card the touch can support? 8GB.

it can be higher but need install sdhc patch..

is there any others connection components like bluetooth network connections...etc maybe you should disabling others connections tools to avoid conflict with your AS?


if you are hunger for memory than you should go for touch instead artemis (HTC P3300). movies playback still acceptable converted to avi format, wmv format really bad. as HTC has promise to fix the driver issue before end of march. > source

16GB is coming soon... 8GB work perfectly on touch after patch to 8GB SDHC patch just like bububang mentioned.
