QUOTE(goldfries @ Jun 7 2007, 02:10 PM) your disappointment is unjustified, it's clear that you're expective like 5 - 10c drop in temperature which is unrealistic. oh, sorry then, maybe I'm expecting too much from thermal paste and brand.... anyway after using so many paste (CM, AS, capalang) - i've decided to stick with capalang paste. |

so consensus says that paste doesnt really matter...mx-1 is good enough without the hanky panky AS5's =/ and the bigger price tag which could mean a KFC lunch xD

QUOTE(Hybrified @ Jun 7 2007, 03:08 PM) *capalang RM3 (or less), the white colour one, which looks like toothpaste. is recommended for u. no need buy expensive one, as it not worth at all. even though u are a super oc freak or oc noob. |

To some, 1 - 2c is a big deal so getting a good paste is essential while to others who do not care, even chaplang one will work well..Heck, i have chaplang silver paste with me as well.. |

Is there any references that say you have to change the thermal paste frequently? Me using AS-5! Looking forward to AS-6 @ MX-2...... |

I actually did get a 10C drop going from cheapass to AS5. But of course i followed the application instructions extremely precisely. Super clean surfaces, and only a tiny little drop of paste. Use too much and performance goes to hell.anyway after using so many paste (CM, AS, capalang) - i've decided to stick with capalang paste.
