Thus, HK set from T&L
XS: can claim warranty in Msia (any other succesful cases?) but
XS Max: cannot claim warranty in Msia?
*
Not sure, but either way T&L has an office in KL so should be no issues sending the phone back there.

Thanks all for the reply. But I dont stay near Klang valley. So it will a bit ma fan. But I see over here that Australia, Malaysia and Sg sharing the same model, maybe thats why they are covered? HK is different.

https://www.techwalls.com/iphone-xs-model-n...er-differences/

Thanks!
*
Yeah, exactly. HK models have a double physical sim where else MY, SG and AU models are using one eSIM + one physical SIM hence it's a question mark.

Since you're not in the Klang Valley, might be best to get an official MY set unless you travel a lot and need dual SIM capabilities - then up to you to judge if the risk of buying a HK set is worth it smile.gif

if your set is HK and SG set, you can buy apple care online...
*
There’s no option for this on Apple Malaysia’s website though.

*
Which is why I don’t use my phones without a screen protector no matter how scratch proof the phone manufacturer claims their glass to be smile.gif

Yes bro. Us set. This seller give me
1) case
2) sp
3) UK adapter (dont know ori or not. But mcm ori)
4) a verizon sim card
5) and sealed “unlock” iphone xs max 64gb

A bit weird initially with the verizon sim card. I tot ive ordered a fully unlocked set. Scared summore when the phone during activation ask me to call verizon first before pressing next.

I just press next and without using the sim, managed to activate it. Felt relieved.
Yes bro. Xs max 64gb.
Much2 better than the shopee scam glitch voucher. That one cost rm4.5k. Saving total of 1k for a new iphone just after launch really satisfied me compared to last year experience. Lol. At last got the phone that is similar to iphone x pricing.
*
Nice bro, the cheapest I’ve seen for a Xs Max!

Ya, expensive drive, more than double of the type c flash drive for the same storage size 😅
*
Thing is, even with the USB C for the new iPad Pro, USB C OTG flash drives still won’t work cry.gif

That’s Apple’s arrogance for you biggrin.gif

Hmm, that’s not right for a two week old phone. My experience with the 8 Plus and X previously was 6-7 months before it shows some degradation. Local set?

huhu.. meaning good bargain? i tot i missed boat someone got it cheaper?
why nobody want to buy at 11street? it so cheap there..
*
I think your deal is the best so far bro. I paid 4799 for my HK set but no regrets, I’m in Thailand now using dual sim and had my “priceless” moment when other iPhone users at the airport were looking at the counter staff putting on a second sim for me at the telco booth biggrin.gif

QUOTE(fiqqq @ Nov 15 2018, 12:01 PM)
Yes, local set.
*
Then you can take it to the AASP to have a look if you’re concerned.

That’s why those legit external hardwares associated with Apple products very costly. Not sure whether Apple charges them on supplying those accessories to make it compatible...😔

I am using dual sim at bkk as well. Feel just so convenient to only bring one phone around. This is my very first dual sim phone as well.
*
Ya, I always carry a spare Android phone while I’m travelling coz of the single sim iPhones but no longer smile.gif

You’re in BKK now? What a coincidence, wanna go check out new Apple Store in Icon Siam? Haha...

Hi, I was just wondering. Picked up an iPhone XS Max 256GB @ Digi and my monthly payment is almost RM350. Is it considered expensive? I've never really bought from a telco before so was just wondering.
*
RM350 is the total including your mobile plan and phone? If yes, then I'd say it's about reasonable.

depends on your usage and financial situation.

for me i always take the cheapest plan that suits me (in my case digi ambassador 68) and buy the phone cash.
*
Those legacy plans are the best! smile.gif

So for models with eSIM, need to wait for software update then can apply at telco right?
*
iOS 12.1 supports eSIM already, unfortunately our local telcos do not (although unofficially maxis has it)
