My last report was not even assign to anyone before TM upgraded my Unifi. Complaint was lodged for 2 weeks, of course between this period, I also went to TM Point once a week, live chat and bugging them daily...

Previously I was a bit naive to think that TM will handle professionally. Turn out they just give you scripted reply and close your report without any solution given. Hence need to be more active towards what you demand from them~

Judging by the responses here, the MCMC complaints aren't being attended to at all, including mine. mad.gif

Which is why don't just fully rely on them. Have to put in more effort~

Crazy when you think about it. What would customers have to resort to next to get some kind of a proper resolution...geezz

Yup. Same like mine too. After a week my mcmc report didn't assigned to anyone yet.

While 2 of my TM report they closed without updates. The worst part is they remark in the system has called me but I didn't pickup the phone so they closed the case. doh.gif
*
Unbelievable. I receive a call that was suppose to be Unifi number but 2 rings and the line was hung up.

At least they called you. I wonder what happen to TM nowadays hmm.gif

Might as well not lol. 2 rings before they hung the phone up. I didn't even get to answer it. God knows what the call was about and if it even pertains to the turbo upgrade.

My MCMC report lodged on 20/10 got a generic reply today with the its still in pilot project excuse. I reopened the MCMC complaint. Keeping my fingers crossed something will actually happen rather than excuses lol.

Just got turbo-ed today. No notice given. Happen to stumble upon it by chance. 800mbps wired but only getting 100mbps. Trying to troubleshoot.

Are there any physical shops selling UGreen Cat6 cables in KL/PJ in about 15 meters length?

I have read the front page and it states that AN 5506-04BG is able to support gigabit. Mine is AN 5506-04B so does that mean it’s not supported?

Using ASUS RT-AC88U. Will have to check the short cable between the BTU and router. The BTU model is AN 5506-04B which might or might not be able to support gigabit speed. The router to PC cable is a few years old so will upgrade them regardless since they are cheap.

Wired and wireless 5ghz exactly the same..about 100mbps.

Yeah I think the AN 5506-04B only supports up to a 100mbps and the AN 5506-04BG supports gigabit. Will try to get them to change the BTU.

For those that have been turbo-ed and need equipment upgrade such as BTU - if you login to your Unifi AC and clink on your user name on the top right hand corner, a drop down menu will appear along with the Turbo Status option. Click on that and there will be a list along with a option to request the upgrades.

If the list does not appear, it means there are no upgrade/no need to upgrade anything to achieve the package speed provided to you.

Hope it helps.

Guys, those who got their Turbo, and your unifi is no longer under contract. Take a minute and check your account whether your contract has been refreshed for 24 months or not???

Can check it via your Unifi Dashboard, the 3 dots beside your account status, select "Request For Termination", press OK and the following page should display your account details.

I checked with TM before my turbo, my contract will be expire on Jan 2019. But just now I play around with that option, found out that my contract was refreshed without my consent.

I don't think they bother to ask for consent.

As promised and published everywhere, Turbo upgrade will not refresh contract.
Ask another CS. laugh.gif

Nope, it will not be affected. UniFi TV has a separate 8Mbps which will not use up your Internet bandwidth.
*
Really? I wasn’t aware of that although I didn’t check mine but regardless I wasn’t informed of the upgrade etc. I am relieved I finally got upgraded and applied to have my BTU replaced since mine is the old model so all I am getting now is 100/100 on the 800 package. Does the replacement of BTU affect the contract? I do know it’s foc.

I know the feeling. I just got mine several days ago was paying 200+ for 100mbps before the upgrade. Make a complaint to MCMC at the minimum to try to get things moving.

I have a query.

Noted from the 1st post on the 1st page which states the following:

"For the turbo speed use, you would want a BTU that can support the gigabit speeds which are the AN5506-04-BG, Huawei HG8240 variant, or the Nokia G-240G variant, or the Alcatel Lucent I-240-G."

My BTU is the AN5506-04B model. This means that it is not able to support Turbo speed, i.e. above 100Mbps, am I correct?

Therefore, I should contact Unifi to ask for a replacement BTU that can support Turbo speed, am I correct?

Thank you.

Same situation as me. Got to the Unifi portal and from there you can request BTU upgrade. Free.

Check the BTU model. The older models can only support 10/100.

Turbo-ed to 800Mbps last week and BTU replaced from black to white Huawei yesterday.

Speedtest of WiFi as per screenshot.

This that speed the max you are getting out of 800mbps? Are there other hardware limitations?
