DSLreport speedtest history over the 1 month of using 800Mbps.
Correct me if I am wrong but I think they use different servers in different regions to average the speed?

QUOTE(Cynox @ Nov 11 2018, 08:14 PM) EDIT: Just notice the big PINK advert on this page - RM99 for 100mbps, RM139 for 500mbps and RM199 for 1Gbps. I am quite optimistic TM will at least match this pricing 2 years later. Don't hold your breath. Time's business model is limited to condos/apartment/high rise buildings. I don't see any reason why TM needs to match Time's pricing because they monopolize the last mile connection for the other properties. They can always give reason that their investments in geographical infra is much higher than for Time. |

QUOTE(Cynox @ Nov 11 2018, 09:15 PM) No need to hold breath. Time already made statement that their biz model is not limited to high-rise, it is the approval for them to penetrate the landed housing not being approved and Mr. Gobind is looking into it. Thanks for the enlightenment. Hopefully TM's monopoly on landed properties will end soon.Source: Pokde.net I think the Minister will open the broadband market for more players to join. That is a good reason for TM to wake up and improve their service and efficiency. Of course, only time will tell what will eventually happen 2 years from now. Let's hope for the best. |

QUOTE(ootik123 @ Nov 15 2018, 12:38 AM) If there is no the "pilot phase" as u said , may i know can i downgrade my current turbo-ed package to 100mbps package now without any penalty because now im still in the contract and have been capped at 100mbps up and down for about 3 months and even changed many setting (router ,pc) and changed to cat 6 cable and im sure that all are 1 gbit rated ( checked at the windows) and wifi 5ghz same to ( 100mbps up and down). Feel like really unfair for those enjoying thier full speed and i still need to pay the fking expensive price. What is your turbo'ed speed supposed to be? Have you engaged TM about your problem? AFAIK, TM does not cap speeds but is known for "mistakes".I subscribed unifi from last year only. |

QUOTE(System Error Message @ Nov 17 2018, 12:06 AM) mines still 100Mb/s, i got the upgrade email for phase 1 but still stuck paying 300 every month for 100Mb/s, no turbo yet :'( i really need the speeds. Someone also mentioned smallnetbuilder, i usually contribute there, but i am sad to say that the listed speeds for the router models are wrong, because the theoratical speeds did not include PPPOE and VLAN, something that Unifi uses which significantly slows down routers especially broadcom as they have no actual hardware acceleration. i see quite a lot of users asking about the AC68U and AC86U, sad to say the AC68U will not do 300Mb/s on unifi config, i remember debating once the software speed of the dual core ARM A9 from broadcom in that it cannot accelerate PPPOE and VLAN. I would reduce the speeds by 40% of stated theoratical software NAT speeds for broadcom based routers. I noticed that AC68U CPU1 will max out during DL. |

QUOTE(System Error Message @ Nov 17 2018, 04:04 AM) wired, seems like they must've either updated or fixed something because that wasnt how it worked out initially. 10Gb/s without NAT acceleration Im not using my router as a router, its just as an AP, however i never use hardware acceleration as my router can support a fully symmetrical 10Gb/s internet with no hardware acceleration. The problem is that i still havent gotten to upgrade to utilise my router more despite paying more than others to TM for 100Mb/s. This post has been edited by PoorMan: Nov 17 2018, 07:15 AM |

QUOTE(kevin916587 @ Nov 18 2018, 08:59 AM) Guys, would like to ask, i cant get 800Mbps on my Lan cable connection, only maxed 300Mbps download. i have bought the USB > RJ45 lan adapter, it says support gigabit, and im using cat 6 cable as well. the port used for this adapter is USB3.0. USB->RJ45 adaptors are not built the same. I will tend to suspect that first. Have you done some internet searches on your particular brand and what speed rate it can achieve? However my brother laptop can reached 800MBps, can anyone teach me how to solve this? |

QUOTE(mylinear @ Nov 18 2018, 11:48 AM) They have removed the #12 price increase and its now the previous termination feee. They have added #14 now about pricing. https://unifi.com.my/lsds/assets/images/per...Q-Home-plan.pdf As a leading corporate, TM have to be ethical and professional towards customers and exercise more self-check. Otherwise, they should be and deserved to be tightly regulated. |

QUOTE(kevin916587 @ Nov 18 2018, 01:02 PM) When i plugged in my brother laptop, it worked fine. However, when plugged in my laptop, it wont go pass 300MBps, which is weird. OK, you mentioned your brother's laptop can hit 820Mbps. That's with this USB->RJ45 adaptor, right? So, assuming you're using the same setup for both laptops, that rules out your BTU, router, cables and USB->RJ45 adapter.Gotta be your laptop, then. What's your laptop's CPU model and OS? You may need another sifu here to help you if it's a microcode issue ... @JohnLai |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Nov 20 2018, 10:37 PM) i can understand if it is a technical constraint. For the CentOS torrent, I can hit 600-650Mbps max using BitComet. I am only a casual user of torrents, so I'm unfamilar with the settings but I think I'm limited by the max number of concurrent connections. The DL rate was still increasing but then, I have already completed the download.but the question is... is unifi intentionally throttling anyone? and if so, what sort of throttling for 10, 50, 100, 500, 800 mbps? so far, i read users throwing all sorts of nos... but do we know what is th truth is? i am just looking for substantiated claims... becos i get very mixed results. I don't think there is any throttling but it's kinda hard to find a really active torrent with big pipe seeds and massive enough to see speeds ramping up to 800Mbps. |
