its quite subjective what kind of emergency...
1 is to go slow,
2 is to give ample amount of space to the front car/bike/lorry/van
i changed to Bendix brake pads... ok la....
not a day/night difference, just slightly better...
but when rain, brake performance will drop as the pads ''aquaplane' on the disc.. lol
i drive relatively quite fast, but generally have half load, 2 person,
if 4 person, u need to give more distance cos of full load...
all relative to traffic conditions... heh
