QUOTE(spreeeee @ May 29 2021, 10:52 AM) Does anyone took the “aircond normal service” ? Was advised by SC to do it for every 50k km mileage. Sorry for so late reply...Damage rm excluding sst: -service including blower cleaning rm72 -gas replacement rm50 -compressor oil replacement rm10 Yay or nay?! Been crazy lately.. Hope u all are safe.. Not sure abt the pricing but shud do it la and keep a record in the SC database if anything shud happen to the compressor. That oil is very important to the item longevity. And gas just happen to come along for the ride. spree manage to get ur vax jab? This post has been edited by jtan.pdr: Jul 28 2021, 08:43 AM |

QUOTE(xxx2299 @ Oct 3 2021, 11:29 AM) Hi everyone, my son has shortlisted Bezza and BLM as his next ride. I got the bezza cos of the auto tranny.May I know what are Bezza common problems or issues ? Many thanks for all advice. I didn't like the way proton did their cvt without a torque converter. That was a major turn off for me. I think the saga has better sound proofing than the bezza I didn't spend much time in the saga, just a test drive so I don't know what's the overdrive rpm/100 kmh is like. The bezza is like 2500 rpm. Makes for relaxed cruising. But 4th gear comes at 60 kmh and the rpm drops to around 1k + rpm and out of the power range of the engine. I find that if I want to go faster, i drop to 3rd gear manually till I reach 80 kmh then drop to 4th gear for the cruise and where the rpm is around 2k n in the power band. Bezza has long travel soft suspension which is good for bumpy city roads but not driving single in the hyway. 4 people in hyway is fine. Gotta learn the car character to get the most from the car when wanting to go fast safely. Got into a scary moment at the sprint hyway at the bangsar interchange heading to ttdi, at around 90 kmh and a car in front suddenly change lane, did a avoidance turn but at the point where the hyway was curving the opposite direction of my turn and I had do an opposite turn from the initial avoidance turn to follow the hyway, and can feel the car rear begin to loose traction, The car doesn't like snap menuvers like that. Granted that no car likes that, but the bezza is tall n light, so it doesn't like it more.. Lol It was very gradual with lots of warning sounds from the conti cc5 tires. Dry condition. Manage to save it with opposite lock. Brakes could be better. Seats not comfy for long drives. Good things? Fuel economy is good, I can get 300 km for rm50 if I drive sanely. Or when my mom in law is in the car.. Mixed 60 hyway 40 suburbs/city. Long distance can hit almost 600 km on a tank of gas going at 110 / 120.. Occasionally 140. Big boot, good cruise rpm for a 1.3 na enjin. Put the gear in 2nd and drag that peaky enjin to 5000 rpm and u'll surprise quite a few people. The enjin is actually quite revvy.. Happy to spin at the top end. Overall a better all round car that'll last ur son for many years. And save petrol at the same time. This post has been edited by jtan.pdr: Oct 5 2021, 04:51 AM |

QUOTE(spreeeee @ Oct 14 2021, 02:14 PM) due to covid/mco, mostly wfh and drive less.. Yeah, sparks last quite awhile if in good condition.nxt month would be marking 60mths/100k km service interval, and iridium spark plugs would be fall under this interval.. but should be fine not to change the spark plugs first, agree? current mileage <85k km Only thing is the stipulation in the warranty, but then again, it's 5 years and the end of the warranty period anyway.. |

QUOTE(spreeeee @ Nov 10 2021, 08:21 AM) the led source lamp vs halogenled lacks the halogen in terms of luminous flux per volumetric size, meaning that for the led to produce the amount of lumens a standard halogen, needs to be larger. the halogen is considered a 'point' source lamp, meaning that the lumens originate from a small point while the led is considered a 'wide' source lamp, almost a flood lamp. thus the led lamps are larger compared to halogens. reflector designed be it for symmetrical or asymmetrical for halogens are very specifically calculated for a certain light source. these calculations for the reflector are to function as asymmetrical and focused on the road as opposed to the high beam that is focused high. altho the main reasons for the main beam is to focus the illumination on the road, it has the added benefit of not causing glare to oncoming traffic. since we are talking abt a original halogen source, lets start from there... since led are larger than a halogen source, it emits light away from the calculated source designed into the reflector. this is the same effect when using xenon lamps where the lamp is longer than the halogen and thus away from the point calculated into the design of the reflector. the resulting retrofit is as u see on cars that seem to have their high beams on while using the main beams and this is what is termed as glare. furthermore, led run hot and need good cooling systems or else they fail very quickly cos of the circuit board cant take the heat emitted from the led that is attached to the board.. causing meltdowns.. halogens were made to run hot... so no problems there. good light fittings meant for led have very robust cooling fins for the fittings to achieve atleast 900 lumens, ie, a 50w12v halogen lamp's output.. retrofit led lamps have only half that at best cos the lamps do not come with cooling fins to fit into an existing enclosure/reflector and lamp holder (2 pin) and can hope to have any form of longevity. thus is the current landscape of the led retrofit market today. |

QUOTE(jusbella @ Mar 2 2022, 08:49 AM) Noted thanks. just top up oil till next appointed time...Seems minor leak, and will make appt with them to fix it. So probably need to replace the engine oil? Since opening the filter the engine oil will be drained as well. The mileage for last service until now not even 6k mileage yet. jusbella liked this post

QUOTE(chiehou @ Mar 12 2022, 09:22 PM) thanks for the reply. Ooo..my car just came out from workshop , happened to be there are leaves that stuck the drainage chamber of the wiper (near windscreen) . thus overflowing of water (heavy rain) will lead to water going into the car=free aquarium. That's the problem la... So sorry it happened to u but thanks for sharing the problem n solution.. Good to know. |
