Whoa bro...that's long. But I think the waiting period is round about there, as I was told I may have to wait 3 months. But I got mine around 2.5 months.
My booking was put in around the end of June. I'm getting my car possibly next week. I've asked 2 places including a sales agent friend. The booking for Bezza is really high.
In the end, just have to be patient.  flex.gif

surely bezza advance will get ASA2.0. else it can't hold saga's threat well. i'm more interested whether perodua able to retrofit the current bezza with ASA for a fee or not. In Japan, daihatsu able to retrofit their Hijet van with Daihatsu smart assist technology.

Don't hold your breath for it. Even simple wiring for retractable side mirror, steering audio control panel also missing for Premium X.
Unless Perodua change their manufacturing method, I don't see this retrofit possible.

They can try to change the rigid "Jap" culture imho. Eg for Bezza, there are three types of wire harness for this model. As a giant car manufacturer, you can actually streamline by only ordering one type of harness and get the best price from the vendors for it. Also for parts commonality.

i don't think it's something about jap culture. probably even they streamline the supply chain for an item, take the wire harness for example. It may still unable to justify the cost delta of having different wire harness. that also taking the consideration of managing inventory and supplier negotiation sort of stuff. Being a profit oriented company like perodua, i'm pretty sure they do think about it.

and that's why they have different model trim ma, purposely make a gap between X and Advance, else everybody go buy X then advance model eat sand already.

I get what you mean, wire harness is just one example. An obvious example would be Premium X and Advance Steering wheel. Instead of wrapping the Premium X steering with leather for Advance model they used a different model altogether, hence if they want to be cost effective why do this.

Different trim model can be done by omitting certain features.
I've read an article somewhere that car manufacturers actually make more money by selling spares than from the cars itself.

Hypothetically, if Bezza was made modular and I want to "upgrade" from Premium X to Advance by buying parts later, the total cost would be far more expensive than buying Advance straight away.

The most important upgrade that I wish for my Premium X is to be able to add VSC. Alas its just a dream for me....

Sorry for the long post... Cheers...

Yes, that's for sure. because they sell you the car for once and you keep on servicing the car until the day you let it go. not to mention those modify kakis.

hahaha.... same goes to me, if not advance model has the VSC TRC HSA, i would have gone for Premium X already.

I kinda think that premium X and Advance steering is the similiar in terms of architecture i.e things that cost more are common shared.

trust me, even if manufacturers making modular stuffs, they will still trying to make sure that they are the main beneficiary party from it. but not the user.

doh.gif My god, that's very long. Have you tried asking(a.k.a. pestering) the sales agent?
How many were waiting in line before your order? This makes a difference to waiting time as well.
Also depends on color, I heard some colors production more than others.

I was offered an add on from the Perodua Bezza Gear Up line worth RM150. Which is a better option out these options?

-Chrome Window Garnish (RM145)
-Chrome Scuff plates (RM140)
-Luggage tray (RM120)
-Coil Mats (RM140)
-Hood Insulator (RM72)
-Door Visor (RM150)
-Sun Shades (RM85)
-Anti Theft Bracket (RM130)

In my own opinion, I think the anti theft bracket is the best choice, advice me if I'm wrong. As it gives the slight peace of mind. I understand that if someone intends to steal your car, there's only so much you can do, and you can make it harder/difficult for them if they try.

Only coil mat and boot tray is necessary but it also depend on whether that's the thing you want , alot other coil mat aftermarket , boot tray about the same

If got extra budget then can choose those aesthetic item.

Window visor actually block wind and increase wind noise as I know. Can use to reduce heat when parking by roll the window down abit.

Anyway I prefer you wait facelift version. I have a no esc bezza, really at current trend, esc is a must, even axia got esc and at 45k, I think you should get a esc equipted car. If advanced version maybe wait for the ASA which cost you 0 but some waiting time. Note: I have no idea how long you need to wait again then.

Thanks for the input, but urgently need the car for work and travel, so can't wait any longer. Just have to be happy with my current model/purchase.

Myself gotten these and I recommend
-Luggage tray (RM120) Original one have cutout for the net hooks.
-Hood Insulator (RM72)
-Anti Theft Bracket (RM130)

The door visor quality is good. Until now still can hold up from scuffing but the adhesive tape use is useless ..

I see, I was wondering about the luggage tray as well. If buying aftermarket, I wonder if there'll be any difference.
Regarding the anti theft bracket, I thought it was quite important as car theft these days are getting more rampant.
Just one curious question... pardon my newbness, how to check if they have installed the bracket? Is it obviously visible?

Thanks!

You can compare between the 2 and be an informed customer. AFAIK, the aftermarket boot tray there's no cutout for the net hook but I may be wrong.

The anti theft bracket saved my friend's Bezza from being broken into. We can see the rubber seal portion on the door window slightly undone probably where the perpetrator use a metal hook to open the door lock mechanism.

You need to remove the door trim to be able to see the anti-theft bracket. Cheers.
