i just got myself a new brisbane.. sold my athlon to a friend, (its a good core) and now i am starting to increase the HTT. first attempt failed at 240HTT. sigh.

HTT or FSB? Did you decrease HTT multiplier to x3 (600) or x4 (800)?

@bryanyeo87, how to check batch number is it good batch or not?

All Brisbanes can achieve around 3GHz, doesn't matter 3600+ or anything. But I'm not sure it can achieve same FSB as 3600+ use to achieve 3GHz, right?

Is it because of Vista that I can't get 3GHz?

3.2GHz for 1.3v? What aspect does this affect, PSU? Or processor batch? Motherboard?

@slash

CPU FSB Ratio setting (options: auto, 4x-10x)
so this is the cpu multiplier? If i select 9, isit actually 9.5?

I believe you must set auto to get 9.5 and disable CnQ feature

CPU n NB bus ratio setting (options: auto, 1x-5x)
this is the HT link ratio? (keep it under 1000 thing?)

Yup, make it x4 if you're planning somewhere below 250 or x3 if over 250

DRAM speed (options: 400,533,667,800,auto)
this is the dram divider?

Yup, RAM divider. x9.5 multiplier should follow x9 RAM divider

So, to oc a little, I shall:
up vcore to 1.3v, up vdimm 2.2v, select 9x cpu multiplier, change bus speed from 200 to 250, select ddr667 divider, select 4x for HT link?

Change HTL to x4, change bus speed bit by bit like 5~10mhz, change RAM divider if the RAM holding you back. Brisbane can go further with stock vcore and vdimm

Is it because of spread spectrum that I can't reach to 3.0GHz other than the fact that ayam brand PSU? Where's the option?

@Irressistible: set RAM timing to 2T and RAM divider to 533, then you can push higher. If can't go any higher, then only touch vcore and vdimm.

Damn lah my house room temp soo hot. My 2.8GHz Brisbane while at college temp around 43-45C, but when I bring home my rig, idle at 49-51C. Then later around evening 3pm or something, that day soo hot it reached 55-56C! Then crash sweat.gif
