The latest BIOS for TA690G from 8tvt is rock stable rclxm9.gif

I played games and not even a single 'display driver has stopped and has been recovered'. No problem OCing and using onboard VGA thumbup.gif

Great to hear that but I'm already on external GPU .. They should have released it earlier .. Save money in buying GPU ..
*
For the mean time, the onboard is great enough already for me biggrin.gif

But I got a Q, from the web, it stated that it is X1250, but why is it becomes X1200?

I remember reading somewhere X1250 and X1200 shares the same core .. X1250 with AVIVO meant for consumer market while X1200 without AVIVO for business market .. I think they share the same driver .. 690G running on X1250 core ..

I bought the 690G with the intention to utilise the onboard GPU, save from buying external GPU .. Those initial drivers/ROM has problem with onboard display like the one U mentioned .. Blackout and display problem thingy bug came out .. Fed up with it and bought an external GPU lor ..
*
I think that's because of BIOS most probably. I didn't try playing games using the default BIOS, but with 427, sometimes it blacked out. But now using 605, so far so good biggrin.gif

can i overclocked X2 4000 + 65w processor ?

wat is the 65w ?

noob in this area
*
Yes you can, and full features depends on your mobo. You can read more about OCing in the respective thread provided. It helps, and for any guidance, here is the place tongue.gif

65W is the wattage used for the proc smile.gif

Me too, but don't really care tongue.gif

Even OCed 25% increase is great for me. At least I can feel the difference from stock speed biggrin.gif

for the drivers issue, im using catalyst 7.6 now which doesnt give me problems (except that the igp is showed as x1200 instead of x1250 but thats not a big problem and doesnt affect performance )but previous 7.5 did. so far, the board has given me no problems except for the problem i was facing just now.
*
I thought I'm the only one facing this problem, but it seems a normal problem, so nvm

I think you missed something. Probably the 2T thing, or anything. 605 bios is great, I don't think it limits down the fsb

Spread spectrum? I have no idea what is that laugh.gif

Really achieving 2.5GHz so hard? To me I achieve 2.8GHz easily using that same BIOS. I don't know what went wrong sweat.gif

i cant pass FSB 300MHz, which is easily achieved when i was using my TForce 570U  sweat.gif
still wondering, whats happening actually  sad.gif
*
It didn't happen before you flash the new BIOS right? I wonder what went wrong sweat.gif

You can't pass FSB 300, what does that mean? Even with some tweaking here and there, the error msg after saving BIOS appear is it? If that's the case, well basically I'm facing the same thing. I once tried FSB 306 and 311, can boot but fail in Orthos. But I get the beep sound if I make it to FSB 316.

I think I should get T-Force 7050/630 instead of 590 SLI board  brows.gif

TF7050 is a better board for OCing compared to TA690G iinm. It just that TA690G comes with slightly better VGA for someone who is short of cash to get a stand alone GPU biggrin.gif

no error message of whatsoever..there are 2 problems so far, and it happened either one in one time;

1) after done tweaking in the bios, i save and restarted, then the pc will reboot..but unfortunately what happened was blank screen, and both of the red didnt light up
2) even if i managed to pass the problem above, the second problem that appeared was restarted during the boot screen (only restart, no BSOD)

before flashed to this BIOS, i managed to get only 2.8-2.9GHz highest..but looks like this time it becomes even worse than before  sweat.gif

what should i do guys  icon_question.gif
*
Yes, I forgot to highlight both of them too. I'm having your 2nd problem if I push to 2.9 or 2.95GHz. The 1st one also sometimes happen for 2.95GHz, but I didn't face any problem reaching up to 2.8GHz. As for me, all I can think of is poor hardware combination, especially on PSU laugh.gif Is it BIOS problem? I don't know, but I don't think so because for me, this one is rock stable. I can play games using VGA even with 2.8GHz, RAM divider 533 and no BSOD or whatsoever

What's yours? Brisbane? I only prime stable up to 2.66GHz only with stock vcore. Further than that, need to adjust a bit

I think kalakatu did mention that he did uses the same setting as before with 570U. Also already enable 2T mode. How bout this, try from the beginning and don't compare it with your previuos 570U. Maybe different board needs different tweaking and result

This morning my hand are very itchy.. so i pop up my bios and tried OC my AMD X2 6000+ 3.0Ghz.This mobo has capability to OC up to 10% ( A.I mode, theres a few mode, auto, manual, A.I ) so 1st i tried 5% and this were the result .. everything is standart .. standard Proc fan, casing fan and table fan to move air in my room biggrin.gif

Bro you didn't decrease HT Link Frequency meh? That's dangerous for mobo if your HTL is above 1000MHz. While OCing cpu, try to make HTL below 1000MHz

TF560 AM2+ is just another am2 mobo, max 1000 HT link as well.

HT link is OCable , i saw people push it to 1500 b4
*
OCable but not recommended as it may damages the mobo within short period. Correct me if I'm wrong sweat.gif

well ...i have no idea. As i know, OC HT link will improve the performance of integrated gc , that's why people did that. But the case that u mentioned is more like oc the PCI-E and PCI clock.
*
Exceed 1GHz HTL improves integrated gc? I don't know that either. Well push a bit can lar, but too much might damage it soon.

ICIC. I am thinking of gettinng that board hmm.gif
Only 1Ghz HTT...
*
What do you mean by only 1GHz HTT?

http://www.driverheaven.net/overclocking-m...ingle-core.html

With standard HT Freq 1000Mhz, we run at 2000Mhz HT (it is double pumped) as advertised on the AMD box. If the HT bus is 16bit wide (2 bytes) with dedicated upstream and downstream, we have
2000 Mhz * 2 bytes = 4000MB/s (in one direction)
which is 8000MB/s (upstream and downstream) total bandwidth between the CPU and inbuilt Northbridge.

And now I have a Q for myself. I can't get stable at FSB 310 and 300, only until FSB 296. I tried until to tweak here and there, but after boot screen, BSOD. I'm using RAM divider 533, 4-4-4-12 timings, 2.15 vdimm and +0.15 vcore. I tried to make it 5-5-5-15, 2.25 vdimm and +0.175 vcore, also cannot boot. I tried TRFC 105ns as well, but then after save BIOS, the screen just goes blank. Is it because of my RAM has reached its limit? If I use RAM divider 400, I can't push until FSB 296. Only until forgot-already and then there's beep sound

well, you nv OC b4 doesn't mean that it is forbidden to OC it. Chinamen love to OC their HT link very much. So far i nv heard any of them complain their mobo spoil. Btw, try not to exceed 1200 for daily usage. Of coz, the best is keep it around 1000

LOL I can't read the website sweat.gif

I never exceed 1GHz not because I said it is forbidden. It is because I read reviews and guide said so, and recommended to keep it under 1GHz. Of course round 1GHz is fine actually, maybe 1.2GHz but further than that, kinda push the mobo too hard

the response is not good from other thread.. mostly recommend board that doesn't exist anymore or not available at lowyat plaza.

Other than TA690G? how much Tforce 560 and is it compatible with AM2 proc(that's mobo am2+ right?) ?

Or you can check out the 1st post. See the stats which mobo is commonly used by us thumbup.gif
